Impaired Woman Charged After Driving Into Traffic Camera

An impaired driver was caught on video taking out a red light camera in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on July 16.

John Ranger recorded this footage and originally posted it to Facebook. In the caption under the original Facebook post, Ranger said he was almost rear-ended by the driver and left his vehicle to capture this footage.

He warned, “Crazy people out there. Be careful!”

The Winnipeg Police Service told Storyful the driver was a 48-year-old female from Winnipeg. She was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired “to Any Degree by BAC or Drug or a Combination of Both,” as well as having a blood alcohol concentration equal or over 80 milligrams within two hours of operating a vehicle.

According to police, no one was injured in the incidents. Credit: John Ranger via Storyful
