HP Inc., Box, Hewlett Packard Enterprise: Top stocks to watch

Yahoo Finance Live's Seana Smith takes a look at several stocks trending in the after-hours trading session including HP Inc., Box, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

- And now time to look at some of the big after hours movers here. Seana what do you see?

SEANA SMITH: Kiko we've got three names. We have HP box and HPE. So let's break it all down here HPQ starting it off their. Losses of just about 2% here in extended trading, a disappointing report from the company really taking a hit from the slump in PC sales that we have been closely watching here. Net revenue for the company missing expectations falling 22% from a year ago to 12.9 billion. HBS personal systems that segment falling 29% when it comes to their sales. Printing revenue, that was off 5% on a year over year basis.

All of this overshadowing their EPS beat the company did report $0.80 a share for the quarter. Year to date we're looking at gains of just about 15% but again in extended trading shares under pressure following that sales missed off just about 2%. Switching over to box, we're looking at gains of about 3% there. Pretty strong report here from the company a bit on both the top and bottom line sales up 5.6% from a year ago. The company also raising its full year EPS guidance that came in better than what the Street was expecting.

CFO Dylan Smith made some positive comments in this earnings release saying that, we are quote reiterating our target of delivering revenue growth plus a free cash flow margin of 35% in fiscal year 2024. Obviously the street a little bit encouraged by that year to date. We're looking at losses of just about 10%. Over the last year the company barely in the green, up just about four and a half so certainly a name to watch at tomorrow's opening bell.

Let's also take a look at Hewlett-Packard enterprise, HPE that stock off just about 5% here in extended trading third quarter revenue guidance that trailed estimates. They also lowered their full year sales outlook for the second quarter though results were pretty mixed. When you take a look at their net revenue, that was 6.94 billion now that did miss the Street's expectations but EPS earnings per share did come in slightly better than expected. CEO Neary was trying to remain upbeat in this earnings release and he also mentioned AI not a huge surprise there writing, quote strong demand for its AI offering. That is what Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeing so far. But year to date shares are still in the red off almost 3%
