High School Running Back With One Hand Beats Florida Rushing Record

A high school football player who has one hand beat Florida’s state record for high school football single-game rushing, running 535 yards and scoring six touchdowns, during a game in Baker Florida, on September 17, MaxPreps reported.

Running back Kayleb Wagner, of Baker High School, made the achievement in a 49-48 victory over South Walton High School.

MaxPreps reported that the new rushing record caught the attention of NFL’s Derrick Henry, Tennessee Titans All-Pro and NFL Offensive Player of the Year, who sent Wagner a congratulatory message on Instagram, according to the outlet.

Wagner was born with amniotic band syndrome, a genetic condition that resulted in him being born without a left hand and part of his left forearm, according to CBS. Credit: Lorenzino Estrada via Storyful
