Editor's Edition: How to make your virtual holiday less distant
As COVID-19 cases rise across the country, Canadians are trying to figure out how to navigate the upcoming holiday season. In this Editor's Edition, Ramona Pringle, associate professor at Ryerson University, and reporter Shruti Shekar discuss ways to take the virtual holiday and "gamify" it. Instead of having a video call where family members eat dinner for a short period of time, Pringle says families could come up with different immersive experiences. That could be sending family members to collect ingredients for a recipe that will later be cooked by everyone over a video call at the same time, creating a different online celebration.
