Delta Air Lines will report its second-quarter earnings on Wednesday before the opening bell as the airline faces staffing shortages and higher costs.

Video Transcript

SEANA SMITH: All right, well, it's time for our stock to watch, and that is Delta. The airline reporting earnings tomorrow ahead of the opening bell, as it faces higher consumer demand, but also headwinds like higher costs and staffing shortages. CEO Ed Bastian issued an apology to customers just a couple of weeks ago for delays and cancellations. Now, Delta is expected to return to a profit compared to a year ago. And analysts see revenue jumping more than 70% from the second quarter of last year. The stock, though, is down more than 20% so far this year.
