Daunte Wright Memorial in Los Angeles Damaged

A memorial set up in honor of Daunte Wright was destroyed as protesters marched through Hollywood late on April 15 and into the early hours of April 16.

This footage, by Vishal P Singh, shows the candlelight memorial before and after it was damaged at Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street. The footage also contains a clip of the tribute after it was reconstructed.

According to social media posts, counter-protesters caused the damage. This claim has not been verified.

Local news reports said police declared an unlawful assembly across the city in downtown Los Angeles, where protesters were gathered at North Spring Street and West 1st Street. Credit: Vishal P Singh via Storyful
