Cumbria Countryside Covered in Snow

The English county of Cumbria made for a beautiful scene on November 29, as snow remained after a cold start to the day.

The Met Office warned of a cold and frosty start for many parts on Monday morning, with snow on hills.

The winter weather followed Storm Arwen, which brought gusts of almost 100 mph when it lashed parts of the UK on Friday into Saturday. Three men were killed by falling trees in separate incidents.

This footage was recorded by Sharon Gosling, who posted it to Twitter, saying, “Still a lot of snow on the fell.”

The bad weather left thousands without power and some roads closed, local news said. Credit: Sharon Gosling via Storyful
