Carpet Python Discovered in Toilet Paper Basket

A family in Ilkley, Queensland, was greeted by an unexpected guest in their bathroom on May 13 after a carpet python slithered into their home.

Once local snake catcher Stuart McKenzie arrived at the residence to rescue the snake, it had nestled in a basket of toilet paper.

In a Facebook post featuring footage of the snake, McKenzie wrote: “It’s lucky they saw the snake and didn’t reach for some toilet paper.”

“Even though the weather is slowly starting to cool down there are still plenty of snakes on the move,” he added. Credit: Stuart McKenzie via Storyful
