Bodycam Shows Moment Driver Plows Into Police Vehicle, Injuring Officer

The City of Atlanta Police Department posted footage on October 20 of an incident earlier this year in which a driver plowed into a police vehicle, injuring an officer who was conducting a traffic stop.

“APD Officer Duc Vo was dispatched to a call regarding an inoperable vehicle on Interstate 20 near the Joseph E Lowery Blvd exit,” police said, when a vehicle drove into his patrol car, “causing severe damage to the vehicle and serious injuries to Vo.”

Vo was taken to hospital and was later nominated for a Purple Heart award, police said.

The driver of the vehicle that drove into Vo’s vehicle was allegedly drunk, and identified as Annette M Stewart. “She was arrested and charged with DUI, Alcohol Less Safe and Reckless Driving and was transported to Atlanta City Jail,” police said.
