More than 1,000 Southwest Airlines flights were canceled in less than a 24-hour period starting Wednesday afternoon. According to Southwest, a server outage impacted all airports around the country, preventing them from following day-to-day operations and resulting in more than 700 flights being canceled Wednesday. As of Thursday morning, an additional 300 flights were called off.
