Each Unit consists of one common share and one common share purchase warrant (a "Warrant") with each Warrant entitling the holder to acquire one common share of the Company at a price of $0.20 for a period of 24 months following the closing of the offering. Omineca is planning a hard rock exploration and drilling program at Wingdam, which represents the Company's initial exploration program for the lode gold source of placer gold recovered from the underground paleochannel at Wingdam, BC, Canada.
Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - February 26, 2020) - Omineca Mining and Metals has acquired an additional 720 hectares of placer claims along Lightning Creek at its Wingdam Gold Project in the Cariboo Mining District of British Columbia. The Wingdam Project, located 45 kilometers east of Quesnel B.C. and 40 kilometers downstream from Barkerville in the Cariboo Mining District, includes both placer and hard-rock tenures along the Lightning Creek valley. For more information, please ...
The claims adjoin OMM's existing placer holdings at Wingdam and extends the Company's placer tenures covering over 15 linear kilometers of potential paleochannel along Lightning Creek toward Barkerville. With over 39,000 contiguous hectares of (hard rock) mineral claims underlying and surrounding the 1,380 hectares of placer claims, Omineca has become one of the dominant placer development and lode gold exploration companies in the heart of the historic Cariboo Mining District of British Columbia.
Omineca now holds 100% ownership of over 39,000 contiguous hectares at its Wingdam project, in addition to the placer claims comprising the Wingdam underground alluvial gold recovery project. The geological similarities and location parallel to the multi-million ounce gold resource at Osisko Gold Royalties' Cariboo Gold Project (formerly Barkerville Gold Mines) provides an exciting exploration opportunity for Omineca.
Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - November 25, 2019) - Omineca Mining and Metals (TSXV: OMM) reports that it has completed testing of a grout plug meant to aid in accelerating a dewatering program of the existing mine workings at its underground alluvial gold project at Wingdam. The pump down rate was found to be 85% faster after the grout plug was installed relative to before it was put into place. For more information, please ...
This test, along with diminished recharge rates of water inflow since the test, indicate that the Company has severed the link between the current and historic underground workings at Wingdam. Omineca, along with its partners, are currently planning the full dewatering program at Wingdam, along with rehabilitation of underground workings from the 2012 bulk sample program. Omineca and its partners anticipate having the Wingdam Project dewatered before the end of 2019.
This program on the Fraser Canyon project ("Fraser Canyon Project"), located 47 kilometers west of the Company's flagship Wingdam project near Barkerville, BC, Canada , included the inversion of magnetic survey data. Omineca intends to drill these magnetic anomalies to confirm the survey and corroborate modern geophysical data with historic gold bearing zones on the property. The Fraser Canyon Project consists of 7 mineral claims, 10 placer claims and 1 placer lease, encompassing 1,364.64 hectares in total, spanning both sides of the Fraser River near Quesnel, British Columbia and encompassing the workings of the historic Canyon and Tertiary mines.
