For those complaining about SHOP you don’t understand what XIU is.

XIU is the 60 largest companies in the TSX, so until SHOP shrinks in size your going to have to deal with it… it’s simply not going to be removed because it’s putting a red stain on your portfolio.

If you want banks and utilities take a look at VDY.

I know 99% of people won't see this, but I hope each and everyone of you attain the success you deserve.

They should add more CP and CNR, reduce the oversized SHOP holdings! Those are 2 business that are pretty much impossible to replace or compete with!
  • M
get SHOP out of this etf man jesus.
  • I
I hate how the oversized holdings in SHOP hurt this ETF. They should have capped to maximum share of any asset to 5%.

Hey XIU investors :) Been here since the low when I said something like its the cheapest price its been in 9-years! See I told ya now I’m very happy to own it long term as if we see higher rates it has some that benefit from higher rates and it pays a very nice dividend too :)
  • E
A nice dividend this month and a record high today. Next stop 30.00.

I'm bullish until the charts tell me otherwise.
  • R
XIU or XEI?? I’m a newbie but am I right to assume that this is more growth oriented than XEI but a smaller dividend yield by 2%? Can’t decide
  • G
Hey everyone! I am a newer investor (Started in Nov). I was curious to know the following: How long should i take for me to see Dividend payments to show up? I’ve i had this stock since Nov and i’ve bought 72 shares of it but i haven’t seen any Dividend payments yet. Do i need to hold it for a while in order to start having them or is it an issue with the broker?

    Thanks and Stay Safe!

XIU is a must hold in all portfolios, if you have no exposure to this...well you should not be investing at all. Great exposure, great for beginners and a great tool to implement in your risk strategy will acquiring more speculative plays. An annual rate of return of 7.5% and with the polls indicating a Biden win, XIU should be a solid holding in your portfolio. TSX goes up 10% on average after a Democrat wins the WH, that should tell you enough BUY BUY BUY!!!!

FYI XIU still undervalued and under appreciated... With the Pfizer news (that I guessed was coming) its likely that the CDN Dollar rises with rising oil demand and imminent end of Covid with a Vaccine. Hold & stay long cheers

I already have invested in XIU around 3 months ago. What TSX INDEX other than XIU you suggest to invest in?
  • K
The growth of this ETF has been awesome over the past year. Will be adding more shares with every pay cheque!
  • E
I'd watch 30.05 level. If the XIU can't close above that in the next couple of days, there will be a short term retrenchment over the next couple of months.

With a 14% YTD return, it maybe time to take some profits.

I can't seem to find the ex-div date for this ETF anywhere for this quarter. Checked over a dozen sites. Odd.

If only I could buy this etf without Shopify… until then, I buy the stocks individually.

Record date May 25th, 0.197 per share. I was hoping for over 0.20, but I'll take it.
