VHI is value stock that seems to have gotten the attention (long deserved) of institutional investors. Its P/E of about 9 is still very good (low) compared to its peers. New Constructs at #1 and The Street at Buy give it their highest ratings.

If a little investor like me can see this, I know the big players have to see this too. Is this too good to be true? Too much money is being left on the table here. Too much value. I know I’ve been hard on VHI, but I’ve got a feeling these shares may triple or quadruple. This company has the real ability to earn its market cap in profits, if it has a good year. That’s unbelievable!

$281mm market cap. $485mm cash on hand.
You can quibble about net cash but, the reality is almost all the debt is intercompany debt to the majority shareholders other companies. They aren't going to default on their lenders (themselves - Contran, Kronos).

My theory for this latest SEC 8k filing and gift to common shareholders. If you own 92% of the shares, what a great way to increase the value of the common shares, bring in more long interest and make yourself much richer as the common share market prices go up.

Any thoughts? Sell, hold?
P
Sell orders place à 4.75$ (gonna be adjusted depending on candelsticks)

What's driving this today? Long deserved and still undervalued.

Last time it took about a month to get to mid $8's......... Let's see..........Who knows........Looks good so far.

Love this stock. So underrated. Patience is key.

My 2 cents: VHI's quarterly/6 month results are not great but show a very diverse and complicated story. The demand seems to be good but higher material costs and one-time charges cut into their margins. A lot of their future success will depend on the various world economies, etc., but their diversity helps to keep them earning a variable but steady income. A 2 cent dividend in a month may be small but does show their confidence in future earnings.

How EV is 1.31B, with 318M market cap, 489M cash and 829M debt????

Greetings Brandon, would recommend backing the truck and loading up. Super healthy income and market cap, incredibly low float and short potential will rocket this stock up. Plus its tapped bottom several times. I would highly recommend stocking. I did on Friday.

How long before a share buy back?
A
At 80 cents per share and an 8 cent yearly dividend that's a 10% yield. Sure seems cheap to me as their sales of TiO2 are increasing and its prices are supposed to pick up this year. Their other businesses seem to be doing well too.

My personal opinion is that the CEO's compensation is paying too much. I hold this stock from $6 down to below $1. The stock is diminishing the value. The quarterly dividend cannot compensate the value of stock. The CEO should boost up the sales, sell properties to increase the cash flow or restructure the existing personnel in the company. The CEO should reduce the compensation. The compensation should link to the performance of sales and profit. The company should boost up the stock price. I don't want to see stock reverse split.

I wonder why VHI is not trading above $15. I think it will go up soon once it get attention. high earnings this year.
A
Still upside to 35-40 range when they do a huge hike to the dividend next year, which in my opinion they will do.

Insider buys always help a beaten up stock. 9$ seems to be the price low for now. Could see huge gains in near term
