Solar energy stocks soared Monday after a report that the Biden administration will suspend tariffs on solar panel components from four countries.
TAN rebound after double bottom on daily chart? or more pain to come? opinions? is TAN so vulnerable to government regulation and intervention that it's course is nearly unpredictable?
This ETF should just dump everything and invest in ENPH
Unfortunately EV and alternative energy trade is over despite oil prices. $45 good entry
pretty obvious "green energy" companies can't make money unless the government throws trillions of dollars at them....they are toast at this point
I've been in this for years. Basis is $22. Stopped buying during the run-up but starting to buy again today at $78. Planning to hold for another decade.
$ENPH is driving this stock to the outer edges of the solar system!
Just got in on this one for the long term. Seems like a strong play and ETF put together nicely IMO also holding NIO RMO NGA and picked up BUS and CCIV this am. Any other picks comment please I’d like to add other EV/Solar. Cheers!
A full one-third of the reconciliation bill (over $500B) is allocated to green energy projects and subsidies. The recent drawback from $100 is because the bill didn't pass before the global climate summit. When the bill passes, expect TAN to gap up to $110. There will be no chance to get in lower, it will gap and go because money is going to come in and few will be selling. I loaded the galleon Thursday, because it's going to happen soon, maybe over the weekend. Dems need to get media attention off the recent election losses and a big bill passage does just that. Pressure is building on them to get something done. I see TAN breaking $120 by year end which will line it it up with it Feb. 2021 high. Valuation doesn't matter on the stocks, it's the amount of money that is going to want to flow into this sector that will spike the price.
This sector, much like the tech sector is cooling off and selling down right now. Good opportunity to buy if you're looking at buying during the consolidation. If you're not quite comfortable buying at these levels, you could wait for a larger pullback. This sector is good and long-term (4+ years) it will be even better, but we can't expect things to be green every day! Just the nature of the market, folks.
I’ve been looking at $TAN for a while, bought shares yesterday already up $1k. Also looking into $ENPH
Thinking of buying one share a week for the next 10 years.. thoughts?
loading the boat on this one once the new infrastructure plan comes to light this etf will benefit
Stock going higher!. Bought in at 50. Bought solar panels this year in the thought that going to buy electric car in the next couple of years and discount for tax deduction was going away, currently at 26%, If more people are turning to solar to power homes and electric vehicles, this could be wave of future.
This fund should start another leg up sometime this year - presuming a year of reasonable political stability. The stars are aligning for clean energy: need, awareness, inflation, electric vehicles, the resolution of supply chain issues. And Omicron will likely mark the end of the pandemic as a crisis and a "return" to a new normal soon (as natural immunity spreads around the globe), too. Clean energy should benefit from most of these factors.
TAN will start to climb as more announcements of solar projects are made in the coming months. Look for $90 before year end as money starts to trickle in.
Aren’t higher gas prices good for renewables like TAN? Suddenly the cost / benefit isn’t so different than oil…

Can anyone explain the big pullback in TAN? This IS painful. Is it being pulled down by the general NASDAQ pullback?
Been researching TAN ETF for 2 weeks straight. Do you all think the stock is looking to break out back towards its highs or move lower? Fundamentally there is so much conversation and investment around solar and the companies in this ETFs are strong. I think it can reach 105 by EOY. What do you all think?
