Solid earnings and guidance. Very undervalued at these levels
J
operating expenses higher, the payout is around 90% to 50% last year. is the dividend safe?
V
For its 7% yield, the payout ratio is only 170%. That's not bad, is it?
J
thinking of getting in I like the 7% dividend if it's safe with no downside on the stock
J
that is not sustainable they have to borrow to pay the dividend.

This board seems dead however I am happy to report that we are in the green. Hope that everybody has a great weekend.

5 bucks a share upside to get to pre pandemic levels
H

I was going to buy more before earnings but everything I own that posted record earnings ha continued bombing so I'm gunna hold on and see how much it drops tomorrow

Accretive purchases with share issuance pays off long term. Share issuances for no reason concern me but this is not the case with Sienna. If it adds to the bottom line im ok with it....... Let me put it this way, lets say for example they doubled the shares oustanding tomorrow to purchase a company that was worth the share issuance, but they were going to double the cash flow plus 10%... thats accretive... dividend still sustainable, and possible growth in the future. It works.

92% and 46% of all LTC and Retirement residents respectively now vaccinated and they said the following:
"From the beginning of 2021, active COVID-19 cases among our residents at Sienna declined by approximately 96% and currently represent less than 0.2% of our total resident population."
AFFO , exclusive of net pandemic expenses, was $0.28, down from $0.31 in 2019, and dividend represented 83% payout ratio. Dividend unchanged. Management also commented on the future, saying:
"The Company’s financial performance has been significantly impacted by extraordinary expenses incurred to manage the pandemic in excess of government funding received. With the strength in overall fundamentals in the seniors living sector and the high vaccination rates of long-term care team members and residents, coupled with Sienna’s solid balance sheet and liquidity, we are confident we will begin to see significant improvements in the Company’s operational and financial performance as the pandemic subsides."

+44% YoY increase in retirement resident move-ins and 99% rent collection. The best part is SIA will grow with the aging population. I expect the revenue and income will increase to meet the growing demands.
U
Guys. Any suggestions? Im long on this stock but concerned about their high dividend payout ratio and their current ratio. What you guys think? Should I hold?
N
Sienna is a real estate inflation hedge in addition to having their allocation by the government indexed to CPI annually. It should not be moving like that.
b
Confirmation by DBRS of the Company’s Issuer Rating of “BBB” should lift the SP to mid $14

Report out with updates by Sienna. Some buyers are convinced to make a move. Good stuff.
D
I would suggest to add more or average it down around $6.5. Mark my words.
