Why wouldn’t Amazon buy sfix? It’s a business Amazon doesn’t have much traction right now

How does a stock price go from $50 to 18 in 4 months?
  • b

it will probably stabilize around here though i think it will hit $12 at some point
losses and low revenue growth for the next 2 years
money in sfix is dead money unless and until (and if) they ever find a way to get and keep customers for a low enough CAC that the low LTV makes sense
i have doubts as to its possibilities
especially when management cant stop taking stock options and selling the stock themselves

I bought this at 113 dollars a share. What do I do now?

when sfix was at $105+ they should have used their stock to buy other clothing sellers that have profits.

    where was management?

were they out on TV shows celebrating themselves instead of smartly looking to buy competitors to cement shareholders stock price?

    they should all be fired

I think SFIX is way oversold. A couple good quarters, if, and it will be back in the 50's.

Like I said back in 2017 and many times before, SFiX will continue to trade sideways until it goes out of business.

Looks like SFIX will go out of business sooner. What Amazon is doing is true technology driven with AI doing the recommendation. Like I said before, SFIX is not a tech company because it uses human curators (who are no different than store staff recommending you what to wear) and not a true subscription company (because you only pay a fee when you order).

i believe (based on fundamentals) it would fall to $16

i since believe it will fall to between $12 and $16 this year

    is stitch fix fixable?

maybe but it will take a change of business model which they are doing and a few years to execute

till then i think it will sell for a discount or 75% of sales

they cant deliver profits in this current business model

Money losing companies don't usually announce share buybacks. Looks more like PR than anything else.

Ok, I call it a bottom. I mean if a potential war can't push sfix down further, what on earth can?? :-p

What does it tell us that over 90% of float is held by institutions?

the irony is that katrina lake the founder is all over tv heralded as a business guru
and investing the cash she has from the shares she sold in new startups
kinda funny when sfix has losses and is not growing and has a retained earnings of near nothing after 12 years in business

i guess the game today is sell as many shares as you can while you can

with all the hype she did I think of her as a little more than Elizabeth Holmes

and lets not forget what she did to Erin Flynn:

While CEO Katrina Lake has taken on the role as head of the company, Stitch Fix's regulatory filings show the company was cofounded by another woman.

Strange enough, a fashion company has no fashion designer in the management team. They are all from IT background. I think they are in the wrong business. Once the website setup, it’s all about style and fit.
