I really encourage everyone to read the transcript Bruce posted from the J.P. Morgan call. Pretty incredible really - massive confirmation of everything we have been saying. Some teasers below. I shortened them a bit.

Q: Probability of recession? Akash: Not seeing it.
Q: China must be hurting you? Akash: Not really.
Q: Supply Chain constraints? Akash: Not seeing it.
Q: R&D must be a heavy lift with diversification? Akahs: Selling same chip everywhere - massive margin expansion.

Q: You said 13% growth for handsets but seeing 50%? Akash: Isn't it great - expect more.
Q: How do you compete with Entrenched NIVIDA in Auto? Akash: We are the entrenched player now.
Q: Consumer IOT going to be hurt? Akash: No, we have 3 areas in IOT and all are blowing it out of the water.
Q: Laptops? Akash: We are making what you saw with Apple's MAC ecosystem... big market.

Mr. Johan Pedersen is how I became financially free, don’t invest in stocks or crypto unless you have the right information. I lost $490k myself trying to start a business but made a huge profit since Pedersen came. I have seen more than $830k using his blessings strategies. You can contact him via 🆃🅴🅻🅴🅶🆁🅼 : Johanpeddersen

As we start a new week that I am sure will be filled by the professional disruptors, I figured I'd re-post some information that I shared about a year ago, so that others could see what I see on my cell phone when I check the history of posts which I don't get to see for some reason on my PC.

If you have an Android phone and install the Yahoo finance app, you'll see that when you click on the name of a poster, you will se not only all that they post, but all of their likes and dislikes across all the boards, so you will get to see for example that God ALWAYS likes Rich and RIch ALWAYS likes God and you'll also see that Rich despite his flip flopping claims of being long in options some times, never likes a positive post about QCOM, especially mine LOL.

It's important to know who the wolves in sheeps clothing are in these times where the incessant barrrage of garbage continues to brow beat one's confidence and it's also important to understand that somewhere in the cyber world, there are posters in Nigeria, Russia, China, the USA and the rest of the world that are paid to pump and also to create dumps as well as manipulate the sentiments of shareholders in order to question their own wisdom in their positions that they hold, which can be effective, especially when it coincides with a relentless onslaught on the share price which is very easy to do for the peopl;e that own the big machines and have the trading software.

GLTA... Just be informed who is walking both sides of the street!

Rich presents the Bear story - very very bear story. He has done this before as he has been calling for this recession for a long long time. Multiple times when he begins to push the bear story, the stock has rallied so keep that in mind. He disappears when that happens. Saying that - it is good to hear the bearish perspective on the market. There are many who have an overly bullish perspective on the market considering the consumer confidence is up - oil topping - pessimism high (indicator of a bottom) etc. Then there is the middle of the road position -maybe a slight recession as interest rates go higher but a quick recovery, etc. Maybe retail is hurt and semis rebound, etc. Nobody knows, but is good to hear all perspectives. For what it is worth, I think the market will rally very soon - volume ratios (down day volumes vs up day volumes) are indicating this. I have no idea whether the rising interest rates will put the economy into a recession - it is definitely a possibility. Regardless, selling QCOM here would not be prudent in any of the scenarios so it is all noise to me. I think companies like IBM, ACN and QCOM are well positioned to best ride out any of these scenarios based on companies needing to spend to implement the digital transformation to stay competitive and not be left behind.

Market can’t hold any gain. Looks like the Nvidia report on slowing of hiring taking its toll on the semiconductor sector. Yikes, that Nvidia earnings report will be key to what happens in the sector this Wednesday

Ming updates outlook for Chinese Android mark in 2H 22. Looks like Mediatek is getting hammered…..Qualcomm not so much.

    1. Major Chinese Android brands have cut a total of another 100 million orders since my last 3/31 survey. My current 2022 smartphone shipment estimations for Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Transsion, and Honor are about 160mn, 160mn, 115mn, 70mn, and 55mn units.

    2. MediaTek and Qualcomm have cut 5G chip orders for 2H22. MediaTek has cut 4Q22 orders by 30–35% (mainly mid-to-low-end). QCOM SM8475 and SM8550 shipment forecasts REMAIN UNCHANGED but Qualcomm has cut other high-end Snapdragon 8 series orders by about 10–15% for 2H22.

16 companies including Asus to launch phones with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC

After Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC chipset, 16 companies have confirmed to launch smartphones with this new chip at the helm, starting Q3 2022.

And this is just the 8... I wonder how many are lining up for the Gen 7

Qualcomm announced its new flagship 8 Gen 1 and 7 Gen 1 chipset for smartphones launching later this year and 2023. And we already have a good idea about the devices that will be using the new high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen+ 1 chipset. Brands like Realme, Asus and Xiaomi have even confirmed the smartphones that will be using the new flagship hardware.

@rich. I would agree with you with regards to 2023 estimates but for the following. You assume that the 2H2022 sampling of new Nuvia chipset is a complete flop. You assume there will be no growth in automotive. Keep in mind Veoneer to supply vision system to next BMW. You also assume no growth in IOT. Broadcom looking at buying VmWare because they are losing business in RF to QCOM. I also assume QCOM pretty much gonna take major share of WiFi 7 business. You have pretty much dismissed all of this and looked at handset only. At a minimum, they have a very very good chance to meet or beat 2023 estimates as provided at Investor Day.

This from our friend Greg. "Qualcomm Unveils Next Generation Powerline Communication Device to Support Expanding Industry Need for Vehicle to Charging Station Smart-Grid Communications"

But I am sure the next investor's meeting analyst will wonder how much Apple's new and exciting modem will hurt QCOM's sales. You know the one they don't have yet.
