Today's EIA report was incredibly bullish for oil. Overall oil drawdown of 8.4 million barrels in the latest reported week. SPR drawdown was a massive 5.0 million barrels (by far the biggest this year), yet even with that the commercial (non SPR) inventories went down a net 3.4 million barrels.

SPR is now down 14.6% from one year ago.
Commercial (non SPR) is down 13.4% from one year ago.
Total US oil inventory (all of the above) is down 14.1% from one year ago.

Is the downturn for PXD due to the negotiations with Venezuela? All other factors including the price per barrel is up, China is lowering its Covid restrictions, drawdown from SPR is already baked in. What am I missing??
    Go PXD

this is why you hold quality oil co's with excellent CEO's like Scott. An investor sold a while back after a profitable run, but PXD has long surpassed his cash out price. Hard to believe, but Q2 will be better than Q1. The OIL SUPER CYCLE has another couple yrs to go. Analyst definitely agree. One great analyst's PT is $400. The best analyst, Vincent Lovaglio, (he does not miss) 91.4 success rate n 58% ave return has PT $373.....+38%. Not including the 13% - 15% annual yield. Scott jumped the variable to $3.18 ps Q4, $6.60 Q1...any guesses for Q2?

13% annual dividend and >$30/share earnings for 2022. This stock is going to trend higher. $300/share is definitely in play now.

Oil is heading to $150 in the next 18 months. PXD will trade for over $300 as long as it doesn't hedge its production. At $240 or lower I'm adding shares. We may see that handle this week.

trying to value a small oil company in the Permian called Permex Resources. they have some great property, but need to drill a bit more so will have some capex. they are bringing ~ 20 shut in wells back online this year and spudding 2 new wells starting this month. it sounds like they're conventional wells, but with some cash flow I imagine lateral stages will be added. Apparently their total proved&probable reserves are in the neighbourhood of $1B. wondering if this is a buyout target for someone like pioneer or if I should expect them to develope and produce themselves. currently valued at ~$20m.

Pioneer forecasts 2022 dividend will be greater than $20/share. Presentation from their site. See slides 5-10. They have no futures exposure this year. If they get oil at $110 they are saying they will have a 14% dividend. Lowest cost producer out there. Pure quality play in the Midland Basin.

I believe if PXD was pursued and bought by one of the majors, I would probably get out, due to the diligence and acumen of the Sheffield gang in operating on behalf of its shareholders and other investors. Go PXD!!

Am I reading this right? For every share we own we will get a $7.28 dividend?

Leading the charge in shareholder returns between divvy, special divvy and buybacks. 0 hedges and debt not a problem. Absolute monster of a company. While the entire market is taken to the woodshed today, PxD is a shining beacon of light during these tumultuous times.

I know this stock moves with the price of oil but they make good $$ from nat gas and that commodity price just keeps going up... get ready for another special dividend

The sell off is an opportunity to add more shares. Oil is heading to $150 in the next 18 months. PXD will hit $300 a share if it continues not selling forward.
