PennantPark Investment Corporation (PNNT)

As a BDC , PNNT is in a position of uncertainty at this time.... not a lot of good reports coming out about small and mi- sized businesses. But at current stock pricing PNNT looks to be already priced in for negative results. As long as the dividends can be maintained there is no reason for me to sell and maybe some good reasons to buy.

This is one I regret not buying. Tried timing the market. Thought after the election market would go down.

Anyone who bought at 3 or lower congrats.

It appears PNNT is showing a loss YTD. How can that be? Are their clients not making payments on outstanding loans?

Anyone considering going long PNNT should read their Q2 disclaimer in their conference call transcript. Mgmt. essentially promises significant impairments from Covid. Can’t imagine the dividend of $0.12 holds another quarter.

Why wouldn’t this be a good time to average down. And with the div reduction support your average dividend percentage.

any guess when they declare next dividend? In past it was Dec 2, sometimes the 5th
Increase in dividend to 13 cents?

if their BV is accurate, they ought to be buying back a lot more shares as assets are freed up....IMO

I just read an article about hedge funds they don't like this stock in particular in their portfolio

any thoughts on the div? They actually increased it during the great recession crisis.

Pennant Park is up 5.08% to 6.41

I will make 50% on this stock in 2021 and as a added bonus I will receive a 11.4% dividend. How can it get any better than that. GLTA

Added a few thousand shares this past week...looked like a good buy price...although it was against my buying principals .... (ie: don't buy unless I can see the light at the end of the tunnel).... and I can't at the present time. But if you own PNNT , hang on, I don't see any massive down turn and the dividend is great. After hours is trending down heavy on PNNT.

The NAV on PNNT was 7.82 and unfortunately they only update their NAV quarterly. I have been following PFLT as the monthly dividend is much more attractive and the yield is quite good. From my understanding PFLT is in a much better situation than PNNT. The NAV for PFLT is 12.16 and trading at 8.32

Any comments on these two and which one is a better investment?
