Let's see what happens as of today. Philips released a comprehensive study of all affected devices.

If it is of any consolation, Philips stock has been performing similar to Siemens Healthlineers for the past six months. Its easy to get depressed when prices are going down, but its important to differentiate between specific and systematic risk impact.

what news
J
Imagine you invested in this stock in 1997, you waited 25 years and today the stock is worth the same price. How absurd is the stock market? This makes you lose confidence in it completely.
b
You want to convince me philips is worth less then it was in 2013 ? :)
J
9 year low. Complete destruction of shareholder value.
A
Stock won’t recover until the CPAP liability is reconciled and the van Houten brothers are fired.
A
Stock is doing just terribly and these clowns are spending $70 million to fill the pockets of the executives who are doing a terrible job.
w
PHG is way cheap at 24. you can listen to low rent bots hanging out in free finance forums to cause you to unload your retail shares. hey, do it.
N
Maybe there are also some good news regarding CPAP recall A study was published in the European respiratory journal. To quote a part of the paper:
"Take home message: Sustained and adherent CPAP therapy of obstructive sleep apnoea using Philips Respironics devices containing polyester-based polyurethane foam, was not associated with an increased risk of cancer after a median follow-up time of 7.2 years."
So your trying to convince me philps is worth less then it was in 2013-2016 ? Yeah .. no ill hodl. Bought at 24 at AEX amsterdam exchange, down to 21 now .
w
still greedily awaiting that 20.50 pitch. i'll take it as before. patience.
N
Why Phg is up 6 percent this morning
w
if you're thinking to pull handle here, go ahead, it's your cash. phg still in weak rally mode. will add more to my three tranches at 20.45 or somewhere similar. if i miss it, and oh well. bear mkt rally can be sudden. stay clear of those.
revenue per employee is a meager $220,000. For a company that makes high end medical equipment, that number is ridiculously low. Management obviously doesn't know how to run the business. Not a buy until the CEO and chairman get booted. This should be run like a business not the Dutch welfare agency
L
Own some and will buy more in the 19's if it keeps dropping...I think it is worth more than 19's, but I would like to get my average down. PHG execs should buy back stock at these prices.
C
Totally back in this is one of the bargains out there, if you think antivacinators wont be filling up ventilators for years to come you are missing it. No nore legal issues than any medical device company. Way more to the company than just this issue.
N
All the bad news may already be in the price , buy now and you will get almost one dollar dividend, Phg paid dividend once a year , take full advantage of that
