Taking a gamble but loading up on Jan and June $10 options. I expect earnings to be blowout and maybe a further dividend. Have to buy on days like this to make money.

Problem is some New welfare program in Brazil called "Auxilio Brasil" that is causing stocks to be hurt there.

Here's a link to the translated Q3'21 production report: https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/track?uri=urn:aaid:scds:US:a2c0b750-c03e-466c-992e-d553819f5cc7

You can look at their main website for the Portuguese one, but this above gives you the descriptions in English. Nice 10% increase in sales of products, and they are rebounding A LOT from the pandemic.

A comfortable earnings beat (anything over $ .70) should be positive for PBR. At some point the market has to realize PBR's value in spite of the perceived/real negatives facing Brazil. I have a small position and reinvest dividends right back into shares. Those options do not pay a dividend and while one gains some degree of leverage, I am comfortable using cash to buy the common. With the current turmoil in Brazil, I do not expect any increase in dividends to be announced on the earnings cycle. This is my current favorite stock among the dozen or so I hold.

I believe this is why the price is tanking today. (https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/petrobras-shareholders-burned-carwash-turn-122332745.html) But I believe it is a short term noise.

As I said yesterday getting all the thumbs down, unless you live there you don’t understand how much harm Latin American populism can inflict into these public companies.

I loaded up on 1000 call options yesterday & got an additional 1000 today.

I wonder if the Brazilian gov't is buying these 50k qty of calls to get more dividends, to pay for that new welfare program they passed the other day. *scratch*

CNBC “On CNBC’s "Mad Money Lightning Round," Jim Cramer said…that Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. - Petrobras (NYSE: PBR) "can be owned" given the strength in oil prices, although he doesn't like investing in that country.”

I’m sure he’s waiting for Brazilians to elect the right Congressmen.

From today's price action it seems yesterday's panic was over reaction. I hope the volume picks up though.

USA oil report today should be enough to lift PBR up $1, but it barely budges..........USA released 2M barrels from Strategic reserve last week bringing the total amount released from there to 25M barrels so USA is doing what China is doing releasing Oil Bigtime from Reserves.

Hopefully they will be able to offload some refineries soon which will give the stock fuel to take off.

It appears that the love affair for Vale has ended also. That stock has really plummeted down from well over $20 at one point.

Hopefully, PBR can and will continue to pay a very good dividend until we can get back to above $12, Good Luck Board!
