Bill Miller recommended OMF on CNBC today as one of the few companies that will do well under the current conditions.

Lower the price goes the more stock the buyback acquires. I thought omf would only acquire 20% shares outstanding but were heading to 30% with this price action. Then that cash flow per share will drive divs higher going forward.

I am still buying. I have seen people on this site and read an article about the dividend not being sustainable They are comparing last year‘s regular and special dividends to this year‘s estimated earnings and coming up with 100% payout rate. Comparing this year’s dividend to this year’s estimated earnings the payout rate is a little above 35% .

Here's another problem for OMF: Increased competition from new fintech subprime lenders. Maybe that's why OMF revenue is down 17% year over year.

Looks like a lot of folks hung out just long enough to claim their current $.95 dividend and moved on. I think that is short sighted, but they made their own decisions.

    Yesterday's price target action:
    * Onemain Holdings Inc : BMO raises target price to $61 from $59
    * Onemain Holdings Inc : Citigroup cuts price target to $54 from $72
    * Onemain Holdings Inc : JP Morgan raises target price to $54 from $53
    * Onemain Holdings Inc : Northland Capital cuts target price to $65 from $70
    * Onemain Holdings Inc : Piper Sandler cuts target price to $70 from $75

Most analyses estimate 2022-2023 earning per share at ballpark $9. Hard to see why that's not worth a $70 share price. This stock seems very undervalued, even in the current interest rate environment.

Here's the problem with OMF: They have missed revenue expectations for 3 of the last 4 earnings reports. They have beaten net income estimates only through tax deferments and creative accounting gimmicks...These are the real reasons the shares are near 52 week lows and the CEO just sold off large amounts of shares....I want to own companies that are GROWING REVENUE, not losing revenue.......What good is the 8% dividend if the shares continue to go lower?

Honestly what good is an 8% yield when the stock is down 20% over the last 52 weeks?

Good cc. Smart move by management imo to buyback another 1 billion in stock. Reduces share count which raises eps and they are buying the stock well below its intrinsic value. Smart capital allocation move. Good upside imo.

Insiders have been selling heavily last 15 months - not a good sign.

I am totally disheartened by the way OMF is trading.

Added today a bit to my small position. Just raised their dividend 36%. hardly a company that is in trouble.

Long a position. Another long here said that higher interest rates are good for OMF. I thought that more people might default because of that. Can you please explain to me why higher rates are good for OMF. Thank you.

Earnings per diluted share were $2.36 in the first quarter of 2022. Consensus earnings prior to the announcement were $2.23, with a high and low of $2.57 and $1.94. Earnings conference call tomorrow. Pretty good numbers against some economic headwinds. GLTA.

By any metric this stock should be in the mid 50's.
