When you research REE's you quickly realize that heavy rare earths are the truly rare minerals as they very seldom are found in quantities large enough to mine. They are critical to technological developments and truly the future of the planet in EV space. The large deposits are in China, Myanmar, Iceland, and Australia and Namibia. China doesn't want to mine due to the environmental damage and you can count on them keeping what they do mine based upon the laws they passed in December. The Chinese also made it clear they want to control the entire supply chain of REE's to add value in their economy. Myanmar is in the middle of a civil war and production is falling. Iceland just voted against their major mine at Greenland Minerals and basically took the largest potential resource off the market. So all that is left is the Northern Mineral's deposit in Australia which the Europeans are moving in on and extremely difficult for US citizens to invest in. This leave Namibia and the Lofdal resource. The Japanese who financially supported Lynas are "all in" on Namibia and the resources are undisputed. With a 10 year time horizon, I find this stock to be extremely compelling. I am by no means an expert or Geologist, but I like the fact that the Japanese are investor's and providing the capital for a heavy rare earth project. Does anyone else have any insights to add especially at the corporate level?
