Micron announces plans to build $100B chip factory in upstate NY.

Awesome location for the new plant which is about 10 miles east of my house. I have a masters in electrical engineering but there were no semiconductor jobs upstate when I graduated, so I did not specialize in it. Surely many New York state engineering students will now go into the field.

People don't seem to grasp the size of this projectb- the amount of land required, clean water, sewer systems, electricity, and educated employees. I'm unsure if you could put this out in the middle of nowhere and expect highly educated people who are in high demand to move there. If you have a good job, this is a fantastic place to live.
Where else in the country can you find anything equivalent to the finger lakes, our snow skiing resorts, and the thousand Islands? The property taxes do suck but you do get something for your dollar - good schools, fantastic state parks and government services and general. As a parent of two disabled kids I'm thankful for the help we've received that we never would have got down south.

So far $48 was a great entry point. Time will tell. Go long!

Why is MU building a semi plant in the highest tax states? Isn't that bad for profit? Anyone can explain to me..??

Still hoping for another punch up to $53 today. Sold some $50 puts for this week expiration @ $0.46 as a hedge against my short shares @ 50.50 I do not think the "All Clear" has sounded yet, so I would be happy to raise my short basis a little more. GLTA and we will see what the rest of the week has in store!

When playing the MU game, sometimes you are the Buck and sometimes you are the Doe. Today, I am the Doe....hahaha...

Made some small trades (little victories) for some small money, but did put some on for this week and next. Sold puts today @ 51, 53, and 54 for this week and some 50s for next week for some income.

Not sure how much more MU will run, but I imagine $55 range will be posing resistance. Still thinking we take a trip back to the high $40s before churning higher, but a lot can happen over the next couple weeks. GLTA and take your profits in MU when you can get them; might be gone tomorrow!

Continuous strength and moats.....with a monopoly marketing power as the only US supplier with scale.

The news buy, buy, buy the semis. As I said last week I thought we hot the bottom at $50 but it doesn't matter , higher lows and higher highs, the company is worth more than it was in 2018 when it bottomed at $32.00 Will be over $100 next year provided the economy recovers. You people buying will make lots of money next year. Congrats. Remember we are on a long term growth curve.

They had some interesting insights about MU on Definitely made me think twice about the company.

Yahoo! has been so bad lately - especially the MU board. I like using now instead for my daily research.

The CEO of MU was just on "Fast Money" he talked about the NY state announcement and also building a facitliy in Idaho.
But he did NOT mention TEXAS. So i'm guessing the Texas facility is off the table ?

    MU will be green tomorrow

All eyes on Micron tomorrow. Reality check for the health of the tech sector. Will be a market moving event. Micron is by far the best gauge there is on the market.

Bubba's MU Option (Tea Leaf) Reading Through EOY:

    BLUF: The bottom is near

Tea Leaves have me thinking that MU will go below $48 this week (10k Op. Int. @$48 that I believe are short calls). However, after whatever the next low is after this earnings, a recovery begins. Price will recover and bumble in low $50s until an early Santa Rally in beginning of December, followed by carry through into January.

The Tea Leaves say MU should be at least in the low-mid $60s by end of January. Ran out of tea data for predictions after that, but that is my read at least. Might have more confirmation after next drop when we see where the big traders are selling their options (I mean Tea Leaves).

Just my reading of the Tea Leaves, please confirm with your own independent reading. No, this does not take global or macro economic events or catastrophes into account. MU is a good company that makes good products, so please save the hate mail.....Bubba dont care.... GLTA!!!

Going green in AH! Go figure.

It's amazing given the decline in earnings and the share price that so few Micron Analysts have downgraded? They want to maintain relationships for corporate access, banking deals, etc, instead of providing objective research. Where is the SEC? As a group, they have no credibility.
