BMO trims earnings target by $30… 26%. 🤔 MU current level $57….cup half full half empty or does the cup have a leak. Average of calls now just over $100 that’s the 12 month view. Even if you award MU its current PE of about 7 on current earnings, in other words you say forward earnings is about $10 not the projected $12 plus. PPS would be $70-75 current and forward. So what’s the problem? Book value is $43, that’s the liquidation value of the assets. Is a business that generates $25-$35B in gross revenues and nets $10B annually worth $15B? Could be less soon…?? But even if it rises to $75 a share. Is the business valuation set at asset valuation plus annual projections? Sure looks like it and imo something isn’t right with this stock ….. very very long term.

Maintained as Outperform at BMO, although target price reduced from $115 to $85.

Niko it doesn't ,matter. The macro forces of the market come and go, the ultimate share price is determined by the balance sheet of the company, ITS EARNINGS AND PROJECTED EARNINGS. With Mu ITS SIMEPLY GETTING BETER AND BETTER.

160 stock trading at 60
c
the fact that they change the target prices 2 days before the results makes me very thoughtful

Looking for opinions on the affect of the "Russian Default" on the US/Global market picture.
On one hand, it looks like a "manufactured" default for headline purposes, with the likelihood of no real affect on world markets (Russia not really broke). On other hand, I remember the effect of national defaults during 08/09 fiasco, which was deep and widespread panic.
Is this just a toot in the wind or the tip of the iceberg? What y'all thinks?

They used the same excuse for years to push down MU stock and their theory of demand slowing never happened.

You have to wonder don't you? BMO Capital has decided to maintain its Outperform rating of Micron Technology (NASDAQ:MU) and lower its price target from $115.00 to $85.00.
You have to wonder at the wide adjustment on PT's these analytical types do. And they seem to do it routinely not just with the likes of MU, but all across the market. You have to wonder if they know what in the hell they're doing? Or are they just rousting the herd to a self-interested end?
Meanwhile, bid $59.17.

Well the proverbial cat is out of the bag. Guidance may not be what the bulls will be looking for and by the reaction of the recent analyst action they already in the know. Not surprised by several measures. The setup is ominous.
Hoping for the 20 DMA before earrings. GLTA

This feels same movie as we have seen few yrs ago, when mu ran up to $60’s and all analysts started lowering pt from avg 90-100’s slowly to $40’s . Started following analysts from ubs; a only one that had this pt in 20-30’s . Eventually mu got to $30’s

$SGH will provide good insight for memory market reporting one day prior to $MU earnings.

Oversold but what do I know. Bad er mu goes down deep and good er mu down in red. Just need to be patient.. right.. lol At least $120 plus stock; we will see that soon!

These guys missed 1 quarter in 5 years. Maybe they are not AMD or NVDA, but they are by far the most affordable. By far, the better buy at this price, and I love AMD and NVDA. But MU is a better buy.
V
Analysis estimates are still at $12.36 for next year.... what am I missing

What’s left I’m staying long!

Good bye James your out of touch,. Not the same company is was 30 years ago.

The immediate reaction of the market to the company's earnings report next Thursday will depend on market’s general mood next Friday. By any stock-related considerations, valuations, etc., the current share price does not correlate with the company's earnings, including any possible number next week. The correlation will be restored, when the market regains minimum amount of normalcy. The latter will inevitably come.
