THEMAC Resources Group Limited (TSX VENTURE:MAC) (“THEMAC” or the “Company”), through its wholly-owned subsidiary New Mexico Copper Corporation (NMCC), has received notice that its plans for the Copper Flat Mine in Sierra County, NM, are authorized by Nationwide Permit 44 for Mining Activities. The notice and authorization were issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps). The Army Corps of Engineers administers the permitting program under Section 404 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act of 1972, also known as the Clean Water Act, which establishes a program to regulate the discharge of dredged or fill material into waters of the United States, including wetlands.
