    LyondellBasell Announces Goal of Achieving Net Zero Emissions by 2050

    LyondellBasell (NYSE: LYB) today announced its ambition of, and approach to, achieving net zero emissions from global operations by 2050. As an interim step toward 2050, the company also announced a strategy to achieve an absolute reduction of 30 percent in scope 1 and scope 2 emissions by 2030. These targets are consistent with efforts to support the Paris Agreement's goal of limiting climate change by achieving net zero for global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by mid-century.

    LyondellBasell (NYSE: LYB) volunteers across the globe took action as part of their commitment to sustainability during the 22nd annual Global Care Day, a company-wide day of service for employees and their families.     LyondellBasell Announces Retirement of Chief Executive Officer

    LyondellBasell (NYSE: LYB) today announced that Chief Executive Officer Bhavesh V. (Bob) Patel intends to retire from the Company as of December 31, 2021. Mr. Patel will continue to lead the Company until that time and will ensure a smooth and orderly transition for his successor.
