Going to $12 - $13 near term. Stellar production numbers. Multiple analyst PT upgrades given this week as well.

The beat goes on! Very nice quarterly/annual production achievements at every mine, plus more profit for share buybacks possibly, or performance bonus for shareholders. This stock should now find its true value..

Hopefully the financial report comes out in a few weeks and this company starts rolling again..Quite odd to me that with so much free cash and upside, this stock is held back..

Haywood reiterated Hold rating and CAD$12 price target. From the analyst notes:
    Start of quote
Haywood sounds like they are not too surprised by this transaction, saying that Josemaria is a Lundin company and shows the overlap between Lundin Mining C-suite and Josemaria’s C-suite, as well as they point to the fact that the Lundin family and Lorito Holdings own roughly 42% of Josemaria.
Josemaria owns a major copper-gold asset which contains 1.0 billion tonnes grading 0.3% copper, 0.22 g/t gold and 0.94 g/t silver. Haywood says that the 2020 feasibility shows an average annual production of 130,000 tons of copper, 225,000 ounces of gold, and 1 million ounces of silver.
Haywood puts a loose production date of 2026 for Josemaria’s assets. They believe that the Environmental Impact Assessment and Fiscal Stability Agreement is to be done in early 2022, which means they could have a construction decision by the second half of 2022.
Lastly, Haywood says that this acquisition has the potential for significant NAV upside, as they have not included Josemaria numbers into their NAV. They say that based on their long-term copper and gold price of $4.15 per pound and $1,8000 per ounce, he project has an NPV of $3.2 billion and an IRR of 22%.

Lundin, together with a five percent increase in copper prices this month should help kill a few shorts! This company is very successful with huge upside and should easily beat the street this quarter. Nickel is at historic highs as is zinc..

Upon visiting hone depots and Lowe’s, I noticed that the. Copper pipe bins are near empty. I asked the plumbing aisle attendant why and he said demand is so strong and supply hasn’t been there for the last three to four months. It’s those little indications that tell me we’ll be fine.

It’s reasonable given recent indicators , that copper will find strength between 4.55-4.75 over the next days. Demand will overshadow the teck strike which should be temporary if union (key word) demands aren’t too high. Lundin quarterly report should be out within two weeks and the shorters probably won’t bet against positive results coming.. just an opinion…

Interesting.. I was reading that COVID is spiking quickly in the democratic republic of Congo. Chile has the highest percentage of 4th dose vaccination at 62%. If strikes(teck resources) and COVID keep affecting copper production, then copper, as nickel, will command substantially higher prices per pound. The auto/truck market is just starting to ramp up production at the same time as robust new home construction.

First, the Dow is down 650 points this morning. Lundin pays one of the highest dividends in the sector plus a performance bonus. They’re buying back shares. They will be debt free , still, after this purchase. They bought josemaria at a bargain. The Argentinian government is very supportive of this venture.lundin will still generate 200 million a quarter going forward. Chilean tax laws are in place for the foreseeable future and lundin can negotiate in good faith in the interim. Scotia banks analyst was whining about a 15-20% drop from the 40% annual growth in guidance and now, in a few years they will be near doubling their output. If there’s corruption , I’d look somewhere else for it. Investment 101 told me to buy josemaria several months ago as it was quite probable that the family would buy this out. No complaints here…I guess though if you are a day trader you may be skittish

Is it mostly copper or they do nickel mining? Thanks

The more important question is…Will boric show his acumen by publicly announcing that he is supportive of miners and thank them for the improvements they’ve provided and work in good faith with them to increase royalties. The world is watching ,grading, and judging. Latin currencies will suffer if intelligence fails. Winemaking hasn’t filled many universities, in my opinion, although they do make some nice wines!🙂

Last few months showing that the Lundin family is going all in for Lundin mining, slow exit from Lundin energy (becoming part of AkerBP ) , last day announced selling their auction house Bukowskis to Bonhams etc. Lundin family have a fantastic track record so I do the same , follow the copper trail, "the new oil"

Almost any miner doing a deal right now is getting killed. Agnico merging with Kirkland, Kinross buying Great Bear, and this deal. The company has the cash to bring this to production without affecting the dividend or loading up on debt. Lundin was on sale today, and I bought - four times!

I read a few articles on dec. 1 . One stated that mr. Boric had already articulated that he is more focused on reducing pollution ( less use of cyanide, etc.in the mining process) and is comfortable working with the mining interests to further improve the quality of life on Chileans. I would do the same if I was the new leader, so instability, unpredictability concerns should fizzle out. San Juan , in Argentina, is quite interested in the same! San Juan has historically been mine friendly.

Finally, a good day for Lundins and for shareholders in various Lundin companies. Better say, a very good day.

I do hope though that lundin would adopt the Robert Friedland approach to mine development and Instill confidence by developing ahead of schedule at every opportunity!
