Department store are down today, and while Cowen & Co.'s Oliver Chen and his team have Market Perform ratings on both Kohl's (KSS) and Macy's (M), they take a look at how the two stack up--and think that Kohl's looks better. That said, Chen sees "encouraging features" in both stocks. While they both have about the same omnichannel loyalty, Chen calls Kohl's system more advanced.
