with Suncor increasing it's dividend to where it was pre-covid, I'm sure the other holdings will follow suit. Loading up in this one.

If we see US not come up with a deal by Friday the US government shuts down. How do we see this affecting this sector? For the good or bad?

Here is my view on Canadian oil and gas. Oil and gas in Alberta will come back with a vengeance. Oil and gas won’t be going away anytime soon and people who buy oil and gas in recessions are usually rewarded. I bought the stock a number of weeks ago and have been very happy with the gains so far. Just thought I would comment as it doesn’t seem like a very active conversation.

Sold this at above $5 a couple months ago. Hopefully will be able to buy under $4. I still think the oil and gas isn’t going anywhere and if oil and gas goes away in the future I think it will have one last boom

xeg is in the uptrend now, as demand slowly picking up. This will move in slow pace with oil prices. Holding for the dividends and price appreciation with time !! Occasional pull back can be expected but not much !!

Heres my view on oil... Canadian oil companies are in trouble with high global supply and low demand. I just don’t see how theres any profit at $5 a barrel for Canadian oil until either demand ramps up AND Global production decreases. Both are needed for a significant sector rally. Then pipelines need to be built to sell into Global markets. The one bullish thing is Canadian oil is a higher quality oil. I’d rather invest in Amazon, airlines, oil storage but I’m happy having a small portfolio allocation to oil through a diversified Canadian index ETF.

Just buy TRP, this ETF is going no where and upstream companies in Canada are held hostage by low oil prices which probably wont change anytime soon. TRP has better yield and overall performance by many strides and no MER, plus defensive qualities. you still get secondary oil exposure without volatility of producers.

Bought in at the dip this morning. I agree oil isn't going to vanish anytime soon. I believe this etf will be back around $9 by the end of the year

Wondering what impact Biden's decision to axe Keystone XL will have. Going to keep an eye once the market opens, if it dips any lower, I'll buy, as I believe it will bounce back. What are your thoughts? - Amateur Investor

Fire sale today!!! I’m gonna keep a close eye on crude and buy in more today. Great 2-5 year potential on this one. I feel that once the post pandemic oil boom is over it’s time to get out though. Good mid term hold! I definitely don’t know what I’m talking about so this is a hunch. Am I close?
