    Historically, buyers have always held off to re-calculate for a month when interest rates go higher really quickly, then they come back and buy at a little lower price to make their payment the same. But reality is also involved --the inventory is next to ZERO -- waiting lists from every builder. This "correction" will be quick and shallow and then we are off to the races very quickly. SPRING is HERE! Folks have to move before school starts, etc. The time to buy these home builder stocks is NOW! Don't wait for this "head fake" to be realized or you will have serious FOMO.

    Eleven analysts who offered stock ratings for D.R. Horton in the last three months forecast the average price in 12 months of $98.00 with a high forecast of $108.00 and a low forecast of $85.00. Of those 11 analysts, ten rated “Buy”, one rated “Hold” while none rated “Sell”, according to Tipranks.
    Several other analysts have also updated their stock outlook. Citigroup raised the price target to $109 from $92. D.R. Horton had its price objective boosted by stock analysts at KeyCorp to $98 from $90. The brokerage currently has an “overweight” rating. Barclays raised their price target to $95 from $81 and gave the company an “overweight” rating. BTIG Research raised their price target to $108 from $98 and gave the company a “buy” rating.
    Moreover, Wolfe Research issued a $94.00 price target on the stock. JPMorgan Chase & Co. upgraded D.R. Horton from a “neutral” rating to an “overweight” rating.

    Fed purchased so much mortgage backed security. The purchase is unnecessary. It pushed the house prices high. If Fed stops the purchase soon, builder stocks will suffer greatly.

    The iShares U.S. Home Construction ETF (NYSEARCA:ITB) has been under sharp selling pressure since peaking in late January 2018. At that time, the equity traded as high as $46.56 a share, today the ITB trades at $30.83 a share. The current pattern on the charts is still weak and this could indicate a bit more downside before a solid low is formed. When I look back on the larger time-frame charts there should be good support around the $28.00 level. This support area is where the ITB consolidated in 2015 and 2016 before breaking out. Often, when an equity will back test a prior consolidation base it will serve as excellent chart support.

    Well, have to admit, the chart has now lost "Its Bullish Feelin", after Uncle Powell (Fed Chief), spoke about possible 4 interest rate hikes this year. Its INSANE that wooosy traders on Wall Street would get upset about one more, lousy, stinking, measly, 1/4 point hike in interest rates!!
