During the annual IBM Think conference, IBM (NYSE: IBM) announced it is working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to make the full portfolio of IBM offerings within the watsonx artificial intelligence (AI) and data platform available for use with AWS services. Today's news will make it easier to scale AI in the enterprise using an open, hybrid approach supported by end-to-end governance.
International Business Machines on Tuesday said that it will release a family of artificial intelligence models as open-source software, and that it will help Saudi Arabia train an AI system in Arabic. Similar to Facebook owner Meta Platforms, IBM is instead providing open access to the models themselves and on Wednesday opened its "Granite" family of AI models for companies to customize.
Today, at its annual THINK conference, IBM (NYSE: IBM) announced several new updates to its watsonx platform one year after its introduction, as well as upcoming data and automation capabilities designed to make artificial intelligence (AI) more open, cost effective, and flexible for businesses. During his opening keynote, CEO Arvind Krishna will share the company's plans to invest in, build and contribute to the open-source AI community as a core part of IBM's strategy.
