Investing.com -- U.S. stock futures were mixed Monday, in a calm trading at the start of the week that includes the release of the latest consumer prices data.
Hawaiian Electric doesn’t have a financing plan to pay half of a $4 billion Maui wildfires settlement—a snag that sank the stock on Monday. In morning trading, shares tumbled 17%. In a statement on Friday, Hawaiian Electric disclosed a “going concern” that it expects to go away once financing plans are in place for its $1.99 billion portion of the settlement, reached in early August with several other parties.
