General Dynamics' (GD) third-quarter revenues of $9,568 million miss the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $9,825 million by 2.6%.
General Dynamics (GD) delivered earnings and revenue surprises of 3.37% and -2.61%, respectively, for the quarter ended September 2021. Do the numbers hold clues to what lies ahead for the stock?
Defense contractor General Dynamics Corp posted a 3% rise in third-quarter profit on Wednesday, boosted by higher sales in the unit that makes U.S. Navy ships and its aerospace division, which makes Gulfstream business jets, but trimmed its annual revenue target by $400 million. "This quarter revenues decrease will impact the year, and we now expect revenue to be around $12.6 billion or $400 million less than our second-quarter update," General Dynamics Chief Executive Phebe Novakovic said on a post-earnings conference call. Previous annual earnings per share guidance of $11.50 was unchanged.
