Should Seniors Housing companies been viewed as more services business rather than real estate companies. They require large number of medical staff to deliver their core service, where as a office and apartments just need a couple of maintenance staff.

Buy $2000 worth of this stock, it drips 12 shares A YEAR into your account. Trust me, I work in medicine in acute care. The province is hooked on this company for the provision of LTC beds / funded beds.
  • J
Looks like the consensus is very little upside to this stock?
  • B
it looks like the Senior Housing stock dropped this week, with news of the uptick in Covid cases and the new Delta and Mu variants

Eeeek is Gov going to shut Extendicare down due to this covid outbreak review ?
  • M
    why the big drop
  • N
    Yikes! ...what's going on?
  • M
Don't worry. There's no beds in the province. There are a GLUT of baby boomers coming into the system. I discharge pts all day long into these beds.
  • M
I am discharge planning. In a big CND city. Without EXE, the province would crumble. There's literally nowhere to discharge patients. Plus we have a HUGE BACKLOG of surgeries upcoming + the aging baby boom epidemic. We have no beds. These guys also do respite care post surgical. Win. Win. Great dividend, it will drip shares into your account TWELVE TIMES A YEAR.

Why going down , 2nd Quarter results looks good

    Delta effect
  • J
the new delta variant will hurt exe.
  • M
I’ll be looking to buy more at 5 or under 5. 10% dividend with 90% government revenue is the kind of odds I like. I get it’s a tough time but now being unemotional will be rewarded

I wonder how the market reacts tomorrow to the just released earnings. It was a truly dismal quarter, but pretty much exactly what was expected considering their last covid/business update. I thought there was a chance they'd cut the dividend, but nope. We still get our 4 cents. This is a rough sector right now, and I wish all passive income investors luck going forward. Hopefully we get this virus thing behind us by 2022!

with the stock recovering Toronto Lawyers Launch Canada's Largest COVID-19 Lawsuit against Extendicare. Even NDP party is after this company. Why don't they leave it a lone.
  • M
Baby boomer demographics are on your side. I manage beds. There is literally nowhere else to put these people. Always short.

Great continuous dividends, perfectly priced, strong fundamentals. And now COVID is disappearing, by end of summer this stock will touch $11. I purchased my first large lot at 6.15 and ever since accumulating it. Purchase, Hold tight and enjoy the profits!!
