it's only 5 homes in saskatchewan. No way in the world can the other provinces divorce themselves from extendicare as they provide so many publicly funded beds and have many, many expensive facilities rooted in real estate that the taxpayer can't afford to purchase.
EXE is going through many lawsuits in regards to the way the pandemic was handled in the nursing homes.
I like the stock but I don't see any long term stability.
I have a very good insight into how deeply in debt Ontario is to Extendicare in its provision of public beds. There is NO WAY in the world they can extricate themselves from a contract with them.
Insiders are buying at these prices
As a hospital professional, I can tell you that at the end of the day : the demographic GREY BABY BOOMER WAVE means that we CANNOT divorce ourselves from extendicare. No way. There's no beds.
just loaded 1k shares
sold my shares @ 8 waiting to buy them back at 4.50 by the end of this year.

REGINA - Extendicare, a national private long-term care provider, is ending its contract with the government of Saskatchewan after the province’s deadliest COVID-19 outbreak happened in one of its homes.
Scott Livingstone, head of the Saskatchewan Health Authority, said the government and Extendicare came to a mutual agreement to end the contract.
The health authority will take over operations of Extendicare’s five long-term care homes in Saskatchewan, which have more than 540 residents.
the short position in the Seniors stocks like Chartwell and Extendicare is increasing
EXE.TO soon will reach to pre pandemic level. $9
I estimate this stock will trade at 5 bucks before the end of this year.
enbridge is the way to go,
it doesn't appear that Sandpiper is interested in adding to their position at these prices
Should Seniors Housing companies been viewed as more services business rather than real estate companies. They require large number of medical staff to deliver their core service, where as a office and apartments just need a couple of maintenance staff.
New long term care home coming along nicely BTW.
Sorry guys needed to sell.
Go to 8,5
Eeeek is Gov going to shut Extendicare down due to this covid outbreak review ?
Buy $2000 worth of this stock, it drips 12 shares A YEAR into your account. Trust me, I work in medicine in acute care. The province is hooked on this company for the provision of LTC beds / funded beds.
Looks like the consensus is very little upside to this stock?
