Baby boomer demographics are on your side. I manage beds. There is literally nowhere else to put these people. Always short.

This will always be around. Liberals and conservatives are both invested. Both wont change anything because they make money off of it.
M
EXE is so in bed w/ government for providing LTC beds that they can't fail.
M
Wonder what will the results look like ?
O
The public sector was deliberately and knowingly underfunded by both libs and cons so they could force people to utilise shoddy businesses like this as a handout to their friends and donors. Turns out cost cutting and margin padding aren't actually conducive to keeping grandma and grandpa alive and happy. It's a good business to own, I think. There's a huge demographic shift coming, and, if the last 9 months have taught us anything, it's that our craven government will never force companies like this to provide an adequate level of service, and will completely enable and pay for their behaviour if they're ever in a tight spot again.

This likely will rocket upwards once more vaccines are out there and people get vaccinated...even 30 percent general population will make huge difference on virus spread.
M
Masters in Health Policy and work in this sector. Buy low.

So when are some of these Directors going to be sent to jail for the neglect causing death of these Seniors?
M
Chartwell is up, so hold both. I do.
M
Provincial govts have underfunded community beds despite knowing about looming baby boom. Private companies stepped in hardcore about 15 years ago. Now the government is DEPENDENT upon chartwell & extendicare. They're quasi governmental orgs.
M
I place people into extendicare. It's full of gov't beds. There's nowhere else to put people.
M
lawsuits also at chartwell from may and october last year.
