    Brett Owen’s from the Contrarian Income report had EMD in his portfolio for his subscribers and put out a recommendation to sell on Friday. This definitively drove the price down. NAV dropped on Friday by $0.25, but price went down almost $1.00. Discount almost doubled to 16%. Beyond the Russia exposure, I am also a bit concerned about its percentage of 20+ years bonds. These will get hit when interest rates rise. The yield is attractive, but not without risk.

    The Contrarian strikes again. I find that if I do the opposite of Brett Owens recommendations, I make a lot of money. He advised a sell on several positions back on March 17, 2020 at the peak pandemic. It was at that time that I began to do the opposite of his recommendations. He wanted us to sell ABR at $5.81; instead I backed up the truck. It peaked at over $20.00/share this past year and is holding steady in the $17 range as I type. ABR never reduced their dividend and, instead, actually raised it during the pandemic. Whatever you do, if you want to preserve capital, NEVER sell when Brett Owens says sell. I bought more shares of EMD when he said sell resulting in a drop below $10. I'm sitting very pretty right now. Thank you Brett for another fire sale!

    Almost 9% discount from Net Asset Value with a monthly distribution equal to 8.2% when 30 year US bonds are paying 2.3% and 5 year US notes are paying .85%.

    Long ways to go! Not so good hope they can regroup. Seems like do nothing as this virus started was the norm, wait and see, and not so good. These funds seem to charge for management but often do not produce.

    Just bailed tired of waiting. Moved to Nly it pays 9%. Held for years just wanted the tax loss.
