Over 5 year highs... selling 55% of my holding of DUK. I can wait and see if it pulls back to 85ish again.

I can see the price but what is the value here. I bought over a year ago at $75 for a 5% yield. Didn’t expect a 33% capital gain but I’ll take it. Q 4 had down revenues and a loss yet stock goes up making yield go down. How do you longs see this going. Hold for steady divi increase or bail at year end if cap gains rates don’t change (or my income is low enough to not change it). Every time I sell a stock to lock in a gain, I think now what the hell do I buy to replace it. Opinions welcome.

Can someone explain how the payout ratio is 223% and continues to be high? Are they financing the dividend? Doesn't look sustainable to me........

up, down, up down, I like duk when its 55 bucks a share or 97...I dont get bent out of shape trying to over think a strategy with current economic conditions and duk...I sit back, enjoy the ride and take the dividends.

I like to review DUK because it's fairly simple to value. $100 is overpaying in my opinion. It's a lot more attractive at $75.

DUK moves in mysterious ways. Have owned on and off over a number of years and still don't quite understand the chart. For a utility it's fairly volatile. Investment banks seem to be driving it higher. When do they pull the rug?

You buys these stocks for dividends. Ride the roller coaster and hold.

Look out, it's at the 100 mark!! Dang, I should of bought more in the low 80's, didn't see this as a "growth" stock, but apparently, just about everything is a growth stock since last March, the indexes just keep going up and up and up...

Pay out ratio is off the chart - This should be a RED flag but no one seems to be watching ? I'm gonna ride the wave up & BAIL real soon !

If DUK is below 90, it's a buy all day; 85 is a super buy, and 80 and below is a must-buy. This stock prints money.
