CS drilling for BHP at Copper Cities + BHP is ramping up it’s M&A activity? It’s only a matter of time before we see another name change…Capstone Mining -> Capstone Copper (after Mantos) -> BHP Copper.

Post the 40% dilution from the Mantos merger the Market Cap of Capstone exceeds $4B at $6 per share. Doesn't that seem a bit high?

Does anyone have answers? What did the combined Capstone company inherent in terms of the Mantos balance sheet cash & obligations? Beyond the Market Cap, what is the implied Enterprise value of the combined company post-merger? Is there risk here?

If I’m correct, they received a $5 million royalty yesterday and an easy beat in earnings is expected in a few weeks. I’d suspect some insider buying at present.

The Panda is shipping Copper again. LME inventories up. I can only imagine the auditor's subsequent note on the Q4 financial state about the Mantos deal. The future looks "clear as mud".

Correction… capstone received $10 million in December from their sale of minto mine and another $5 million on January 15th. They will have added $10 million to the Q4 balance sheet.

Now's the time to take a position here. Look at the 6 month chart you'll note a sideway pattern with consistent highs and lows over this period. In other words, judging from this broad consolidation pattern, a hammer candle stick, and very good news about Capstone's merger with Mantos, we should soon see another uptrend that may very well exceed Dec 01 high of $6.50.

The big three will need 700,000 tons of copper a year to compete with Tesla starting last year. They are only a small percentage of the total vehicles made a year and copper that will be required to build the other 50 million vehicles. These little made made corrections in the market are hard to predict and won’t change that demand. In two years look back at this company ( and this post ) and lundin mining as well…

Insider recently bought CA$361k worth of stock
On the 14th of December, Jerrold Annett bought around 69k shares on-market at roughly CA$5.23 per share. This was the largest purchase by an insider in the last 3 months. Despite this recent purchase, insiders have collectively sold CA$10m more in shares than they bought in the last 12 months.

Look at your chart over a year you'll note that there was a steady incline before it had consolidated upwards over 6 months moving at an average of $1.00 between support and resistance at 3 to 4 week frequencies. Very predictable pattern here. My guess is CS will break out of this pattern to the upside in the near term.

Tesla surprised the world today with the report of a huge beat in quarterly deliveries….on track for approx. 1.5 million deliveries this year, or double, last years production. So the question is.. do you think that all of the other electric vehicle manufacturers will follow the same pattern? GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, oh so many …
