Curious about this. Any thoughts on how effective they are currently as far as customer service ? And their user interfaces ? Possible investor.

Take a look at the last four quarters for COF…

Revenues in decline and earnings decline from $3B to zero.

    This trend looks ominous.

I’m looking forward to earnings. Let’s see if all those commercials paid off. 18 year credit cardholder here, I got the lowest locked in rate ever for any credit card. Love it !

COF has a P/B ratio of 0.7…that’s pretty good for a financial institution. Still think this has more to fall, but will definitely pick up shares below $100. 10 year hold for me.
  • M
Well that’s disappointing but I’m gonna hang in there and when it bottoms I’ll buy more. Just gotta wait.
  • M
I’m not sure if I should hold or take my losses ?

Yahoo! has been so bad lately - especially the COF board. I like using ( now instead for my daily research.

    Both have ER of 2B
AXP 118B company VS COF 41B Company

Makes no sense for preferreds to be this volatile

When banks set aside provisional losses it is in anticipation for future defaults based on current market conditions. They really did not lose that 3 per share. Banks routinely adjust that number as information is available

So, inflation and rate hikes won't change financials and banks but it may work in their favor. The current negative market is temporary and short-lived. it will be stable one way or another but rates will go higher for sure. The rate hike will benefit COF significantly.
