Dead message board for such a huge company with huge dividend and it’s a China stock so you think that would have plenty to talk about. But here I am talking to myself. Lol

I am waiting for 5G. I am betting tha 5G will replace cable in some ways. I got into CHL and VZ for that reason. I don't think VZ is laying down much fiber bc their approach will be to leverage 5G instead. This will dramatically lower their costs. I think there will be millions of people in China that will go from no phone or flip phone to smart phone and 5g device for cable. Not sure how long it will take, but plan to be patient. I got in at 36 and a little more at 32. I expect to double my money over the next 18-24 months. Even though I have real trust issues, I continue to buy 100 shares here and there. We will see... wont we

China Mobile is the largest telecommunication services companies in the world. CHL also has the best balance sheet by far, yet it's trading at a multiple that's 50% below its heavily indebted U.S. counterparts. I understand needing to have a China discount on CHL, but this undervaluation is ridiculous in my opinion. CHL can run to $50+ and still look ridiculously cheap.

The investment minds at Zacks $55 and Valueline $50 bet on this as a STRONG BUY. That’s when We Learned their DD IS NOT DUE DILLIGENCE AT ALL. Zacks trying to save face jumped back in STRONG BUY as last as a year ago last August as it continued to fall. I LEARNED from others that Zacks is more of a coin toss a 50/50 proposition. A bit like Cramer and his goofs

Tesla will start being evaluated by REAL NUMBERS. That is what popped the internet bubble. Tesla is immensely overvalued. If it is able to maintain profitability that would give it a sub $60 fair value.,. on a good day. You pay , $1600 for it. It will most likely sell off tomorrow. Buy the hype sell the news.

The business of CHL is Covid proof and doesn't need growth to justify the current valuation. The political risk is mainly towards the exchange rate because an embargo on HK would weaken the HK dollar but so has a record stimulus also provided a surplus of US dollars which means that the future value of the HK dollar is uncertain even within a framework of trade restrictions. An additional risk is that the homeland tax on the dividend goes up but since this tax is currently 10 % an increase to 15 or 20 % would simply put it in line with European and American operators. A + for CHL is the ability to chose contractors Nokia, Huawei, Ericsson etc. without excessive paperwork which ( in the long run ) means a lower cost basis for both the customers and the stock owners.

I don't currently own a position in CHL, but it's been on my watch list for a while with a buy price of sub-$50 so it's looking like I might get my chance here soon. I know there's political risk to any China stock and this one even more so with the government being the controlling shareholder. With that said, compare the balance sheet of CHL to that of any of the U.S. Telecoms. CHL blows all of them away. I think this is a great way to play the continued growth of the middle class in China, not to mention the explosion of data that's sure to come with 4G in China.

I will likely scale into position, buying 1/3 of desired position to start and actually hoping it'll go down further from there so I can average in at lower prices. I see this as a potential long term holding, 5+ years at least. Good luck CHL longs.

Now is the time to be in Chinese companies. China Mobile has nearly 1 billion customers. This is a cash generating machine.

Undervalued. High dividend. Amazing 4G-5G-web growth in China. This will go up, in 3 or in 6 months... just a matter of time. Collect the div while waiting. Investors will eventually move out of Tencent and Baba. Not just yet though. Still growth there as well. China Mobile is where Chinese billionaires put their yuan’s when they start to get scared... A safely protected Govt Company after all....

This company earned $20B per year, with $100 Billion in cash, why is it only trade at $170B?
