The amended NCIB increases the maximum number of common shares that may be purchased by an additional 690,906 common shares, and results from a recalculation of the Company’s public float based on updated ownership information of certain insiders as of the date of the original announcement of the NCIB.
Construction is heating up, builder's taking advantage of low prices of lumber and want to finish most projects before winter. In BC lower mainland housing demand and sales are crazy. People are buying over asking price. Morgage interest rates are very low and panic buy pushing housing costs higher. It's very obvious rally will continue.
Buy, hold and wait for rewards.
Buy the dip and hold, lumber stocks(canfor, Interfor, west fraser) will explode soon.
Doesn’t make sense for this dip while lumber futures reach over 520. Big guys are shaking the lumber industry so hold on guys, don’t be panic.
Trailing P/E is 1.8 with net $1.5 Billion in net cash including CVD ADD reversals
the canfor corp is not massively, but continuous buying their shares, hmm.....
Canfor is one of the premier companies in the lumber industry. They will excel on earnings under the Conservatives or Liberal party due to high demand
Bread and butter
This company is expected to make almost $5/share in Q2 and is trading at 23? not to mention the massive profits they've already locked in. sure futures are trading lower but that was expected at those outrageous prices. Futures in 2018 was 630 and now they are a little over 500. it is going to turn around, worst case a few years. So why sell now?
Short now today for the short term. Way overbought.
last time when lumber was at approx 500, this stock was over 30. Wait lumber price stabilization, this will slowly be climbing up again. Don’t panic guys.
guys, up or down for the financial statement release next week ? what's your thoughts
Any takes on this stock post earnings report ? EPS beat estimates and understand the Revenues in 2Q21 will not be repeated -- but no rewards for the stellar performance this calendar year ?
CIBC’s price target for CFP increased from $35 to $41.
Raymond James new price target 53$. Canfor Corp. (“strong buy”) to $53 from $46. The average on the Street is $41.83
Good day today need a few more days like this
. Canada’s third richest person Jim pattison has 51% stake in this company. It was trading at PE ratio of 8 before earnings last week. Its EPS was 4.Xx . Now after the earnings eps jumped to 8.XX . I am expecting it to go to 45 at least trading at PE ratio of 5. Construction is rising and it will keep rising this year to meet the demand. Demand is 1.6 million houses per month. They are building 1.2 million houses per month. This will go into 2022 for sure.

“Futures are getting driven down right now by computerized trading and other platforms not related to the physical product, so it may end up going lower than the real market needs to go,” he said. “The mills know there’s a lot more buying than needs to happen.”
He expects the cash market will fall to a new base level in June and trigger more buying, while futures could head back up by August. Leonard said he has seen this pattern repeat in his 35 years of trading in the market.
“The market is digesting some very high levels right now,” he said. “I don’t know if we’ll make a new high, but I think we’ll take a shot at it again.”
