Markets are up and crude oil is way down. What's today's excuse for this not to be "off to the moon'?

Decisions decisions. CCL is booking up everywhere, it’s no wonder CCL is NOT filing for bankruptcy, it’s getting harder to get on a ship with the limited suites available. PEOPLE ARE CRUISING!!’

Carnival Cruise Line today announced protocol updates that meet public health goals but recognize the evolving nature of COVID-19. With these changes, America's Cruise Line is making it easier for more guests to sail with simplified vaccination and testing guidelines, including no testing for vaccinated guests on sailings less than 16 nights, and eliminating the exemption request process for unvaccinated guests, who will only need to show a negative test result at embarkation. All new guidelines are effective for cruises departing on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022 or later, and include:

the train is heading to $20-$25 station at least

With Carnival dropping the Covid testing and vaccination requirements, it would seem this should be going up. Guess not 🙁

I made a reservation today (Aug. 11) for a 10-days Princess cruise in April 2024. (Mexican Riviera; featuring being in Mazatlán on April 8 for solar eclipse.) Today is the first day this cruise is offered; the ship is already at least 2/3 booked. The initial deposits alone will total at least $1.2 million: effectively an interest-free loan CCL will be sitting on for almost 2 years. A special event for this cruise, but other CCL cruises are also showing active bookings.

CCL has a deep debt hole to craw out of, no doubt. However, the cruise industry is displaying signs of vitality and demand for its services. I believe CCL will soon return to its 2019 level book value. For the patient investor the rewards will come relatively soon.

Load up Load up, THE smooth sailing is starting to begin. We may have a couple days of bad weather but don't worry we will reach our destination soon. Our first port will be 13.00, soon we will arrive at 15.00. We do have life jackets for those fearful ones. HAVE FUN!

In a note to clients on Monday, HSBC analyst Ali Naqvi reiterated a bearish rating on Carnival Corporation stock as cost and debt concerns continue to pressure shares. “The company has some significant debt maturities over the next two years and it will have to refinance those debt maturities at higher interest rates, further increasing the cost of debt for the company.” Given the growing concerns, HSBC reduced the price target to $6.80
