How many hidden shares does Cogeco have? How did it only pop to 130CAD/share with a 10.3B$ buyout when there’s 48M Outstanding shares

Good results, but I think I’ll be the only one to be happy about it in this chat :)

Let’s see if the market appreciate it tomorrow when the market opens!

Louis Audet just wants a fat cheque sent directly to him and can’t stand entertaining the idea that he only gets 900 mil while the majority of the acquisition capital rightfully goes back to the shareholders of Cogeco. The founders of Cogeco clearly do not care about their investors. What value does this stock actually hold if Louis Audet is imposing all the financial value of the company we are investing in is to be paid out directly to him and his preferred multiple-voting shares instead of us through our ownership in the common stock voting shares. Who is looking out for the shareholders in this company ? Insane

They beat expectations. Q1 is very good. We should see green tomorrow when market opens!

Over 21% gain since beginning of year. I guess they were right not to accept the offer from Rogers, but only time will confirm. It is still a bit toi early to judge but it’s looking good so far!

powerful and yet simple playbook. buying US cable assets at reasonable multiple, delivering mid single EBITDA growth rate, by improving penetration rate and modest operating leverage.

low payout ratio makes sense as capital allocation with M&A is accretive.

amazed to see available assets to buy !!!

Sold all my shares, it's part of the old economy, like who cares about cable tv/radio and etc..

Anyone know what all the recent filing on CEO.ca is about? A bunch of voting shares look to have been purchased for 121 and change. Total newbie here, so appreciate the sharing of knowledge in advance!

Our PM announced it just after Covid, stimulus spending will be concentrated on improving Canada's digital network...today's announcement is just the beginning.

Don't worry Mr Audet. In a decade or two your kids' grandkids will own shares of CCA.TO that will be priced higher than today... maybe even as high as $150! And you can explain to them how you and the family ultimately won.

Cogeco has no future. The same business model over 20 years and the worst Cable Service on the globe. I hope this company goes bankrupt and every executive loses their job.
