BERLIN (Reuters) -German automotive supplier Bosch is aiming to be profitable this year but said that a definitive forecast is not possible due to economic and political uncertainties. As a result, the company will need to pass on price increases to its customers, citing already-high energy and raw materials costs that have only been exacerbated by the effects of the war in Ukraine. "The burden on our result is growing considerably due to steep increases in the cost of energy, raw materials and logistics," Bosch's finance chief Markus Forschner said.
BERLIN (AP) — German auto parts and technology company Bosch said Tuesday it is buying Five, a British automated driving startup, for an undisclosed amount. BERLIN (Reuters) -Germany's economy ministry has launched an investigation into whether engineering group Bosch violated an export ban on goods that can be used for both civilian and military purposes, Der Spiegel magazine reported on Friday. European Union sanctions have restricted exports of dual-use goods since Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014. Bosch said in a statement it had no knowledge that any official investigation had started.
