Strange reaction. Given the performance of BNS stock, investors should be happy Porter is leaving. The new CEO can’t do much worse. Sells for 8X earnings and yields over 6%. I think anyone who buys now will be very happy in 3 years. Who cares if it goes a little lower in the meantime? Maybe it will and maybe it won’t……..

Added more shares at $68.75. I just keep accumulating for a 20 year+ investment. Attractive dividend at these levels.

Bank has lost more than a quarter of its value in six months, and this in a rising rate environment. It’s bizarre

Also the bank should buy back to support the interim appointment of CEO .

This is a good news to the bank to had a new CEO and president , new thinking would restore the bank to original position .

management change won't make much a difference for Canadian banks. it's highly regulated. CEO can't just make new policies out of thin air. they are there to make sure everything is running smoothly as per rules and internal policies.

I hope this one goes down a bit. next div is in 30 days. will have some extra cash to pick few more. yam yam!

Unfortunate reaction to the new CEO. I have faith tho he’s been on the board since 2014. The board and management put a lot of thought into it. And he’s staying on to help the transition until April 2023 and could stay longer if he wants or needs

BNS would have to hit $56.50 CAD ($41usd) to reach its lowest P/E ratio since the financial crisis. Do investors sell the company and let it hit a 7.3% yield in this era? I don't believe so. I will keep that target in mind sure, but I will DCA throughout 2023.

    The good….Porter is leaving.
The bad….his successor is a non banker and is hand picked.

The result Porter becomes his mentor and nothing changes.

So far I’m down close to 70k on BNS
This is not so bad for $770k This investment will get me in 5 years over 200k in dividends plus the shares could be worth $100x10,000=1,000.000
Prices could drop I’m not selling !!!

Trust the new CEO , he is the one that knows to reverse the trends . The increase in interest bring more money to the bank. TD and BNS may soon exchange their positions, TD in the future may had more burden in US than BNS .

Let’s hear it again. Down 14.7% in the last month, but that dividend is looking fantastic. Let’s all cheer for that dividend….and the great job the CEO and his management team are doing.
