I added to my position this morning. It might not move today (surprisingly) but it will soon. That kind of strong earnings, fundamentals, and momentum do not come around often.

Early congratulations Q2 report today, everyone who started at the bottom and are still here. Pretty sure today is the last day under $10.
Q3 into Q4 wouldn't be surprised if we 2X again ($18-20) by year end - with no debt, dividend bonanza that follows, and with Freeport LNG fully back online in October.

Looks like nothing is in the way to 11.85, once that breaks nothing but air to $15. Will we close above 11.85 tomorrow? Bir has been sleeping but it has shown us in the past that when it wakes up it wants to run.

Wow great earnings !!! They are killing it and maximizing reducing debt and share buybacks aggressively

We should be at $13 already with these numbers folks

Let’s hope we get there really soon because this is ridiculously undervalued with those numbers.

    Let’s gooo

Share price seems to be following oil prices lower, but 80% of Birchcliff's production is natural gas, which has gone up in price over the last day.

WIth the announcement of the pfd's being redeemed at the end of Sept. the final QTR should reflect savings in interest - the Series A pfd's were paying 8%. I will miss those sizeable cheques.

On Jul 29, 26600 shares of BIR.PR.A were bought through TD Securities. Those were all the shares bought that day, and they could've been bought by just one buyer, paying an average of 25.48/share (up to 25.50/share) for a total cost of $677,884. The implication is he is betting big on the preferred stock not being redeemed. Even if it does get redeemed, he will not lose any money.

If they are showing a profit they should be buying shares back to lower outstanding and float.

I expect in August earnings report they will announce debt free status and building of their war chest. Corporate presentation is very good. This will have a yield of 9.5% next year at current price with payout ratio of less than 40%. That is based on pricing of $3 and $70 oil. Will see accelerated share buyback at these prices.

A lot of dreamers here. Great earnings and the stock can’t hold $10CAD. Come back in 3 months.

This Company better pay a dividend come next earnings or they will be crucified. Tired of these C-suite execs that promise the world and fail to deliver.
