Is this a valid case for share price appreciation over the next two to five years: bonds yielding so low, baby boomer retirement so high, and they start looking for yield and bid up stocks that have them ?
-Just a thought
why would you stop DRIP if you bought this stock at $50 or $60 and have held all the way down?
Lexaria Bioscience (OTCQX:LXRP) has entered into a research and development agreement with British American Tobacco (NYSE:BTI) to investigate the use of Lexaria's technology in nicotine products.
i hope it start to move BTI up.
Back up the truck at $34.00. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!
more buying of this rich div stock .can lean on n hard time.
For those who are ultra bullish let me remind those so called long term holders (honest shareholders) that as recent as Sept. 2016, BTI was trading at $60. To my point we have lost a ton!
Expecting 8% dividend hit today but no longer DRIP.
Neutral on stock. bullish on dividend.
Perfect stock for a good dividend portfolio.
Big hammer is forming today on the chart, time to load and get to the train!
Why are we up so much today?
I am in for 25,000 shares... I'll keep buying as long as the price stays depressed. I think the shares are worth around $44 a share.
I touch base here periodically to give my evaluation of BTI. I do not dislike this stock but for long term owners of which I am, my cost bases is much higher then the $34 or so amount. As a holder of LO and the acquisition by BTI, that price was near $60 a share so BTI has not performed well up to this point. I like the dividend and just recently after years of DRIP I decided to have the dividends go to cash as BTI seems to trade in a narrow range.
Short term reversal is happening
Anyone know why this came down the past month?
I bought when it dipped below $35, but the fundamentals scream undervalued.
Let me get this straight you can’t smoke menthol cigs anymore in California but you can legally smoke weed, this country has way to many people with opinions, hell when I was young you could smoke on a plane,in a hospital,or a bank, the hospital thing is proven in the movie Jaws made in 1975 now they say adult can’t smoke menthol smokes, unbelievable this is becoming an embarrassment of a country
Bought 50 shares at 33.90. I can fully understand the negative sentiment towards this company... but at an 8% fully supported yield, way too attractive.
I’ll sit on this for the next decade while I collect the fat divy and wait for recovery. Long BTI and MO.
I bought 125 shares @ $38.75. Ugh. Thinking of buying another 125 right now. (Around $33.00.) Do I pull the trigger?
These vype pens, will make this brand explode whitin 3 months.
Every one in Denmark are using then, all of Scandinavia..
You know, the area where people actually have money.
British American Tobacco says it's awaiting FDA permission to start COVID-19 vaccine trials
Today 3:00 AM ET (MarketWatch)
British American Tobacco's (BATS.LN) Kentucky BioProcessing division has applied and is awaiting U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval to start a trial of its COVID-19 vaccine, said Kingsley Wheaton, the company's chief marketing officer, in an interview with MarketWatch. He said that approval to begin testing could be "pretty imminent." The unit already has FDA approval to test an influenza vaccine. British American Tobacco had announced in April that it was trying to create a COVID-19 vaccine and that its work there would be on a not-for-profit basis.
And if it continues to retreat I will definitely add more why not this company is a cash 🐄
