I have a friend who works in corporate for Zara in Europe for over a decade. They have not heard of Aritzia. Of course, there is no European exposure there but thought they would know. Actually, I am comforted to know that because it shows how small ATZ still is and the growth potential that lies ahead.

Believe it or not, back in 2004 while vacationing I remember someone coming up to me by a pool and asking what device I was using to listen to music. He had a Sony Discman. I said an iPod. First time they had heard of it. True story.

Aritzia is where all pretty much all women (in Canada) between 18 and 45 shop or want yo shop. They have everything from sportswear, sleepwear, loungewear, work to evening. They definitely have the super cool factor. Lineups are so long to try & to pay on weekends it’s nuts. Super well managed and in constant hyper expansion. What else do you need? It’s a buy.

Today is another good day to accumulate ATZ.TO based on its strong fundamentals and growth potentials. Of course risk is still there with the red hot CPI released this morning. However, if fund is available, DCA approach can be one possible tool for this play if you would like to accumulate but feel the pressure by the overall market. GLTA!!!

In past, I have written, that IMO, while the fed continues to raise rates, and recession, inflation, stagflation etc. fears abide, ATZ won't have a major upward move back to 60. During this time, which could bring us to early 2023, ATZ IMO will continue its progression into the US, ultimately to compete with the majors. IMO, ATZ will then get a NASDAQ listing and expand at a quicker pace throughout those major malls in the US where they have no stores. During this time we sit patiently and amass shares at these levels in anticipation.
I've attached an article from Yahoo finance https://finance.yahoo.com/news/abercrombie-fitch-is-back-ceo-says-175921394.html
for your reading and educational pleasure.
Looking forward to all comments offering substance concerning future competition with a "has been" lol and ATZ the "new store on the street" are welcome.
Also, all comments concerning shopping experiences are welcome.

Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Fran Horowitz offered up a different tone regarding the apparel retailer at investor day this week compared to when we caught up in 2018 at the New York Stock Exchange.

ATZ.TO had repurchased and cancelled 889,380 shares (@$35.99 to $39.26) during M ay 10 to May 31. They have filed a SEDAR report today for all these trades. Under the announced normal course issuer bid ("NCIB"), they can purchase up to 3,732,725 of its subordinate voting shares. Thus, they can still purchase another 2,843,3345 shares later.

IMO, ATZ will continue a steady growth pattern (not overnight) in the US to become a common family name.
In the near future, ATZ is planning to open 2 major stores, 1 on Manhattan's 5th Avenue and the other on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, (North Michigan Avenue).

(Lulu has just released its Q1 2022 ER) Lululemon raises guidance for the year as earnings and sales beat expectations. Let's see if this will have any indirect positive impact on ATZ in the near term. GLTA!!!

Don't plan to keep it as long-term. So I wonder where this is going in 3 months.

I believe the positive ER for Nordstrom may have some degree of positive influence on the confidence in ATZ. Please note that ATZ is positioning itself as "everyday luxury". Thus, the good ER from Nordstrom and Ralph Lauren may give better indication on the outlook of ATZ. Lulu's ER in 9 days will definitely be a relevant one for shareholders to gauge the outlook too. Let's see what Macy's ER will bring to the market tomorrow too.

    GLTA!!!

It is a tough time these days for retail. So one doesn't really know whether ATZ will be up/down in this market.
When I hear Cramer talk about retail, I hear AnF, Gap and many US brands. Just wait, until ATZ decides to get a NASDAQ listing. I'm sure we will hear lots more about the franchise.
I guess now is not the right time to go for the listing, but when ATZ decides to (if it does), I imagine we will all profit from the venture.
All comments regarding stores in areas around you are encouraged. Do they appear busy, are you, GF's , wives etc. interested in the fashions they're selling etc.?
Let the board of investors (limited number now) know. Let's get the ATZ word out there and profit at the time they make their big move to NASDAQ.

The strength in ERs from various retailers are helping to certain degrees. The strength demonstrated by medium-to-high end retailers give hints that Lulu’s upcoming ER “may” be good (🤞). If that’s the case, it will give another boost to ATZ in the near term after the recent weakness.
