Two ways to trade..who made out better....apache was under 4...back then jan 21 7.5 calls were about 80 cents ...so after moving them out to july of this year the average price per call is about 1.55....they are 15 today and 17 yesterday ...or you could buy and sell a hundred times and lose half the time...the whole market is full of that kind of trader...if you believed in the recovery you could have bought xom 30 calls ...bp 20 calls oxy 12 calls apa 7.5 or even 10 calls cqp 20 calls...instead of every time the stock faltered sold and posted a hundred times that armageddon was coming....posting on boards with market caps in the billions does not move anything...it supposed to be about LUCID RESEARCH ...APACHE beat earnings at 42 oil and pledged to keep their capex/ EXPENSES to about a billion ..it used to be 2-3 billion...so with only 125 -140 million barrels they have effectively lowered costs by about 10 per barrel with the dividend out....these daytrader posts were the same at 5 7 10 12 25 20 22 and they will be the same at 30 thats all they know ...so the massive inflows by funds have already enjoyed a nice % bump and its too easy for them to pass up another 30-50% with a great earnings report under their belt and oil up...even at 55 oil the will crush it

Read the entire detail..someone posted that analysts are looking at suriname as a risk......??? read the details they owned the whole project so instead of crippling the company with cap ex for many years they structured a deal with Total whereby they get half of the interest and they pay over 87% of the first ten billion and an upfront payment ... this is a sweet deal....almost no risk to apache...if this turns about o be 6-7 billion barrels they can monetize portions at any time for billions and billions...DID YOU SEE THAT XOM PROVEN RESERVES ARE 15-16 BILLION ....if the assessment is right by some brokerages that this is 6-7 billion this is going

As most oil that reported I am not expecting a solid Q4 earnings but I am expecting strong guidance. J&J vaccine approval Friday and OPEC doing an amazing job. Saudis want oil at $75. APA is a $30 stock this summer. Relax and enjoy the ride

There is no question that this was a very good report considering all setbacks the industry suffered in 2020. Based on what I gleaned from the report, 2021 revenues could be ~$6 Billion and 2022 and 2023 revenues could be ~$8 Billion. I’m hoping APA might have first oil by 2024 in addition to existing revenues. Surely by then, analysts will realize APA has done things very RIGHT.

APA is now my best performing stock and I'm guessing I have a lot of company. I plan to stay with it for many reasons. GL!

The supplement report says the are "currently drilling to deeper Neocomian-aged targets" at the Keskesi East-1 discovery. I thought they were going to release the Noble Sam Croft at the end of January to mid-February, and now we are at the end of February and they are still drilling? They have been working on that well since Sep 14 -- five and a half months -- that is one expensive hole -- hope they are finding oil and not having more problems. Maybe we'll find out tomorrow.

Looks like a law firm might have a vested interest in keeping APA stock below $33.00.

I picked this up at around $6 deep into the Pandemic market dive (could have gotten it cheaper too) and never looked back. Great run!

Earnings will be reported AMC tomorrow. Look at the financial analysts appraisals of APA in Feb as opposed to Jan. Dramatically more bearish in Feb. Awesome. This sets up a spring primed to be released when the earnings are released tomorrow evening. The analysts will be raising ratings all over the place. Also, it is likely that the 1+ day market correction is over. APA to the moon.

This compares to current trading prices at over $60.

    Lawyers, lawyers and more lawyers.

    Which leads me to this...

Q: What do you have when you have a lawyer buried up to their neck in sand on a Beach?

    A: Not enough sand!

free cash flow was 500 million based on 42 per barrel...so another 700 million of that if oil prices hold

Now the daytrader posts hit...THEY BASICALLY BROKE EVEN AT 42 OIL AND NOW OIL IS UP ABOUT 20$ PER BARREL SINCE THIS REPORT....IF IT HOLDS 700 MILLION MORE IN FREE CASH FLOW ..THEY WILL DECIMATE THE NEXT QUARTER....
  • r
    rocco
There volume was 1.2 billion this past reported quarter....simple math would tell you this...they do about 38 million barrels per quarter ....oil is up about 20$ per barrel....so 760 million more in revenue not including their massive middle east agreement analysts are looking for 1.27 ....they will crush it

Agree with Glad. Not expecting much from Q4 numbers. However how they plan to capitalize on the over $60 per barrel price needs to be illuminated. Also looking for guidance on how the Suriname wells roll into the FCF equation. Is this a 2 years down the road play or when? APA is putting most of their eggs in Suriname, and we need to know how long to be patient before we start seeing returns.
