Look at a 1 year chart. Today is barely even noticeable.

Bears are destroyed again. You guys just don't get it. Massive Fed and policy leads to almost unending stock price increases. Not only TINA but TINA flush with cash, like coming out of their ears with cash.

Markets shake off this uneasy period, skate through various headline risks(taper, tax increases), and ramp into a santa claus rally. Dow 36,000 by Christmas.

We are only a couple weeks away from third quarter earnings reporting which will once again show favorable YOY comparisons. This should add a few hundred points to the indices as equities are still the only game in town for investors looking for return. They will remain the only game in town until we can get interest rates high enough to become a competitive alternative.

Over the past couple of days some bigger players came out and said that they will buy the dips caused by sellers spooked out by rising bond yields. Looks like some of them are true to their words.

As a question now - did anyone see a news story, regarding how JRB appears to owe $500k in back taxes? This president? Talk about not 'paying ones fair share'!

Global Obsolete Aging Nuclear Power Plants Pose Greater Threat Than Climate Change
Over half of US nuclear reactors are over 40 years old and almost all are over twenty years old.
More than 60 reactors have received 20-year extensions to their licensed lifetimes.

Unless a utility applies for and receives a Subsequent License Renewal (SLR) that could further extend the operating lives of their reactors up to 20 additional years, the reactors will not generate power beyond age 60.

October is usually a rough month on the markets, throw in joe biden and the current democrats and we may actually see another 20% drop in the markets. When does biden (and his admin) get removed, by force if necessary?

Safety of Nuclear Very Old Reactors in USA On A Scale 1 to 10 is Zero
These comprehensive and transparent nuclear risk and safety assessments, the so-called "stress tests", involved targeted reassessment of each power reactor’s safety margins in the light of extreme natural events, such as earthquakes and flooding, as well as on loss of safety functions and severe accident management following any initiating event.

For those who don't know: "Apollo Equities have completed the acquisition of Yahoo - formerly Verizon Media. With the close of the transaction, Yahoo will now operate as a standalone company under Apollo Funds. Verizon has retained a 10% stake in Yahoo." So, there you have it.

Avoiding 500k in back taxes would typically get you some prison time, wouldn't it?

Folks ask our favorite politician to check to see how safe your old and aging nuclear reactor is today.
Most of the 100 nuclear plants now generating power in the U.S. were originally licensed for 35 to 40 years of operation; now the NRC is issuing new permits, in 20-year increments, that will allow them to keep running for 60 or even 80 years.

Great Nuclear Reactor News For Your 40 Plus Nuke
The early retirement of old, broken reactors like San Onofre and Crystal River could have a positive effect, if those retirements lead to improvements in the decision-making process for all troubled nuclear plants. Late life repair-or-retire decisions need to be subjected to full scrutiny, similar to what takes place in the annual review of a utility’s Integrated Resource Plan, with all options for supplying power considered and realistic assumptions about plant life included. Major repairs to nuclear plants constitute large resource-acquisition decisions, and they need to be treated as such.
